Bloomfield Construction

Update to my previous rating on this company. I have just learned that the necessary permits for work they have already done on my house were never pulled. So a wood burning stove that was installed wrong was never permitted. Complaints are filed with the state.

I contacted Bloomfield Construction to obtain a quote for repairing damage related to a water leak in my home. We also wanted to have some remodeling quoted at the same time (and mentioned this during my initial call to the company). During the scheduled visit to my home, the representative of the company jotted down notes and mentioned names of coworkers that would need to be brought in for a final estimate. He concluded the visit by saying that he could not provide an estimate until we provided him with a copy of the insurance estimate. Within a week, we received and forwarded on the insurance info. After a follow up the next week, he indicated he would be reviewing. No word for a few days, so I followed up. He still hadn’t even reviewed the info and indicated I wouldn’t have anything until at least that Friday. A day later, I received a call saying that they wouldn’t be quoting because they are «too busy». While I appreciate this information, why didn’t you explain this three weeks prior when I called to setup the review of the project? It was a waste of my time and we still have water damage that is potentially and likely molding in my walls!

I just had the company install siding, trim and sofits. The company is professional, efficient and the installers were friendly. Justin T. was easy to get a hold of and returned messages within a reasonable time. I’m extremely pleased with the results and recommend them 100%.
