Really cute country store on Highway 20 with old wood floors and a long wraparound counter. The store smells like donuts and makes you nostalgic for the good old days. They’ve got a post office with P.O. boxes for the locals, newspapers, gas, hardware and wood for when you just need the basics. It’s got what passing tourists want, especially in the summertime, ice cream bars in a dozen or more varieties, candy and snacks and a huge selection of drinks. They have fresh donuts and coffee, groceries, and fried potatoes and jojos under the heat lamp. But what really sets this country store apart is its homemade pizzas to go – cooked or uncooked. Wowzers. They have quite a selection too like the Bubba with a pound of meat on it and a few gourmet selections as well. I haven’t had the pizza yet but it sure smelled good and I’m dying for an opportunity to pick one up.
