Amazing view and wonderful service. It was the perfect end to our vacation before we got on the boat home

I had breakfast there, at the bar, and the food was typical diner good breakfast food. But, we sat down and we were never offered water or coffee. We ordered some juice and requested water and never got the water. Service was slow and inattentive and we were sitting right in front of them at the counter.

Very nice blacked chicken, service was 5 stars. Very fast to get seated, food came out Very quick. I came here on a Sunday at 12.30 near the end of summer so it was not hard to find a seat. Great views of the ferry coming in. Looking forward to a fun day in block island!

Great breakfast on the block. Typical breakfast items can be found: pancakes, eggs, omelet, egg sandwiches, etc. Get there early on weekends(before 9) for better chance to be seated on deck. View from deck is lovely to watch the ferries come in. Quick service and good food.

Ernie’s is a staple on Block Island. It’s always consistent. The food is nothing fancy but always good. Whether you get a table inside or on the deck, you can count on being surrounded by Block Islanders. A sure sign that it’s the place to be!

Went to Ernie’s with a large group directly after getting off the ferry. It was a busy time for them, but they had us seated within no time on the beautiful deck. It is always a hard to serve a large group and our waitress did a great job. The food was fresh and tasted perfect after the ferry ride. My friends had a variety of food from the egg sandwiches to French toast and eggs. Everyone finished they meals without complaint. I tried the grilled cheese and was happy with my choice as well. When I return to the island, I will definitely stop by Ernie’s again.

Decent food if you’re looking for a diner breakfast. I agree with a previous post about«indifferent service.» I was led to believe that they take credit cards and was met with a rude«cash only» without any follow up of where the closest ATM is(wayyyy down the street by the Glass Onion, but when I sent my husband down to get cash the ATM was closed, as was one across the street; we ended up calling someone to bring us money!!). On my way out I mentioned that their Unilocal page says they take credit cards, and I was told«we don’t have a Unilocal page.» Oh, REALLY!!!

Always fresh and delicious. Another must visit for breakfast on island. The service is prompt efficient and friendly. You can’t go wrong with anything. Breakfast sandwiches, pancakes and of course eggs and bacon designed to please everyone and reasonable prices to boot.

You go here more for the experience than the food, but the food is good. A Block Island staple.

We enjoyed Ernie’s breakfast so much that we visited two days in a row on our recent visit to BI. It’s a small space, so you’re going to get cozy with your neighbors, and it gets crowded quickly, so don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a table. The food is standard greasy spoon breakfast fare, but it’s well prepared, less expensive than the hotel restaurants, and served quickly. Service was very prompt and friendly, and the coffee wasn’t half bad either. Overall, if you want a good, basic breakfast, I’d definitely suggest hitting up Ernie’s(on the early side).

A solid breakfast place. Good food(good, not great), the usual indifferent Block Island service. I’d give 3.5 stars if I could for the fact that I can sit outside looking at the ocean while having breakfast.

Better than«ferry food». I had buttermilk pancakes w sausage links. Pancakes were lukewarm OK flavor Links were barely cooked –not raw but not hot. Coffee weaker than i like it. Husband had ham & cheese omelet not bad but also lukewarm. Brown ponytail waitress never checked in. Had to ask for coffee refill this was a sunday morn around 1030 it was not busy. Im sure there r much better breakfasts on the island.

Great Breakfast … excellent home fires … small so you may have to wait but they move quickly … one of the best breakfasts on the island.
