We love Coney Island. They have great Greek and American cuisine, well prepared with great service. My favorite items on the menu are the Greek omelette and their Greek salad. Also, they have great coffee. The owner is very nice and runs a «tight ship». This is a great local favorite that we love visiting again and again.

Lots of various menu items to choose from, a little something for everyone! Conveniently located in downtown Blissfield a few doors down from the antique mall.

We stopped in town to visit the antique mall and stopped in here for lunch. We were greeted warmly and told to sit wherever we wanted. Tall drinks with free refills. I had the fried chicken dinner and it was delicious. Hubby had the gyro and he loved it. Kids had a burger and pork rib sandwich. Both were good. The staff was so friendly and even wished my husband a Happy Father’s Day as we were leaving. Clean restrooms and very cute little place. Lots on the menu to choose from so we will stop back when we are in town again.

Q: What do you get when Macedonians living in Sylvania open a Greek Coney Island in mostly German Blissfield? A: You get this place, and its pretty good! The hot dog sauce/chili is of the«creamy» variety that’s typically found on the classic Detroit Coney, AND, the rendition here at BCI is excellent. The cheese was fresh and copious, and the onion/mustard combo was perfect. The dog itself had a casing, which is cool with some people. Greek food: Limited selection. The spinach pie reminded me very much of my grandmother’s spanakopita. Of course, by the time Grandma finally got to America, she was as blind as a bat, and could no longer cook worth a damn. There were many other hearty sounding classic American«diner specials» on the menu as well. Pork chops, veal cutlets, fried chicken, country fried steak, meatloaf, etc, were all present. One of the daily specials was creamed chicken over biscuits. YUM! I’m not sure if this is where I’d come for my chicken stir-fry, however. Just kidding about the spinach pie, BTW, it was actually pretty good. If you happen to find yourself in Blissfield Michigan during the morning or day(on your way to the lakes, maybe?), Blissfield Coney Island is definitely worth a stop.
