Don’t waste your time. They opened a restaurant in the place and when I went in they only had a few pieces of pottery. I asked why and they said the restaurant keeps them too busy to mess with pottery. I guess if you want a burger it might me ok but if you’re looking for pottery, go elsewhere. Not sure why they still show pottery on their website.

This must-stop in the Blanco square is another reminder of how diverse and surprising this town is, in the middle of ranch country where Democrats and Republicans, ranchers and hippies, artists and hunters can coexist. Jan and John Brieger set root here, and offer their own pottery for sale as well as work from Blanco’s buzzing pool of artists; I especially like the great smelling cedar carvings of Mr. Phelps. Their daughter, photographer Tasha Brieger manages Hill Country Lavender, and the store sells many of their products — I recommend a small bag of dried lavender. it’s cheap, smells great and keeps its scent for quite some time. If you drop in, seek to meet Jan. she’s an incredibly warm person and essential to Blanco’s openness and endearing charm.
