This is a great local restaurant that specializes in farm to table fare that is also comfort food. The breakfasts are amazing. Lots of food, good sausage, and great biscuits and gravy. When our son was visiting from Madison, Wisconsin, where he lives and which is a center of the farm to table movement, he was very laudatory about Sawmill Place. Because of that I got to go back several times! And I was very pleased to do so. The portions are good size, the service is friendly, and the only real problem is that you sometimes have to wait for a table. Well that, but also the fact that I wish they were open for dinner. Hint, hint!

Can get crowded on the weekends, but well worth the wait! They have great breakfast and their lunch is good, too! There are a lot of healthy options, as well as traditional southern fare. Service is fantastic and friendly.

Returned to this place a second time and it was absolutely wonderful! My mom had the chicken salad sandwich, in which she enjoyed and I had a veggie omelet. Both were absolutely smashing!

Definitely ***** +! Wonderful clean restaurant with outstanding service and food. They purchase from local farms and growers; they purchase their flour and grains from Logan Mills. My wife had an omelet that was cooked just right; I had a couple of eggs with local sausage patties and grits that were cooked just right. We went on a Saturday and had about a 20 minute wait, but it was worth it. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They also have an annual harvest dinner in late August and another in September. We made reservations and are looking forward to it.

Never written a review before, but had to start after this experience. Best Southern meal I’ve ever had not at a family table! FRESH and perfectly prepared with light corn meal batter for the fried foods (squash and pork chops in my case), green beans cooked well and not soggy, and grilled corn cakes which was a great new taste. Homemade buttermilk biscuits were superb and washed down well with the smooth and not TOO sweet tea. The banana pudding was the best I can remember! Great service and inexpensive for the quality. Best in Blairsville. Consistently great service and food. Very tasty Pecan Pancakes. Homemade saugage to go with the biscuits and gravy. Decent portions and definitely a taste of southern cooking. Long lines if you dont’ time it right, but service is friendly. No credit cards accepted.

Our GO TO place when we are at our vacation spot in N. Ga. The pancakes and French toast are only second to their biscuits and gravy! And the country fried steak for lunch is a must as well. The best friendliest servers ever!

My parents have been here a few times but this was our first. WOW!!! Everything was amazing and all homemade. Between the 6 of us we had chicken tenders, ham, chicken casserole, grilled corn cakes, green beans, fried squash, mashed potatoes, strawberry shortcake, pecan pie and vanilla bean ice cream. Everything was fantastic and we can’t wait to try it for breakfast next time we come to the mountains.

Good breakfast! Ordered the southern breakfast with cheese grits. The country fried steak was not fresh made but the gravy made up for it. The bacon was amazing! We had a little bit of everything at our table and no one complained! Great place to frequent if you’re up here often. Deer heads and largemouth bass on the walls too. Service is friendly and fast.

Hole In The Wall used to be my favorite place for breakfast in Blairsville until I discovered Old Sawmill Place! The biscuits and gravy are amazing, with a sharp, peppery flavor. The bacon and sausage are homemade and taste it. I couldn’t eat everything on my plate, but I really tried! Will definitely be back! Be advised that there will probably be a wait to get in and seated during peak hours… This place is very popular!

Very nice, clean, bright spot just outside town. Friendly, efficient servers, constantly refilling coffee and checking up on you. Biscuits are exquisite as is the sausage gravy. Perfectly fluffy pancakes and locally sourced ingredients. Best breakfast we had in Blairsville in three days.

Great good. In had the French toast with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Huge serving. Came with crispy applewood bacon. Service was awesome. Everyone enjoyed their meal. No wait for a table. We will definitely be back. Love that it is farm to table & a local place. THEY ONLY ACCEPT CASH OR CHECKS! NO CREDIT CARDS!
