Been eating here of years and love it. Great burger. Wonderful view. Friendly service. I will be back there soon.

I wish I could give them ZERO stars! My wife and I walked in to get some food to go. They told us «we ain’t doing to go orders right now». Alright. My wife then asked where the restroom was, and we were told «restrooms are for paying customers only»! WHAT?! We would have sat down to eat, but there’s not a chance anyone should ever eat here or give them business. Rude, inhospitable, and the service seriously needs training.

My Jack Daniels burger was tasty but the service sucked.
Could we get the burger cut in half? «No, but we can give you a knife»
Could we get a side of blue cheese for my blk and blue burger? «No, we are not allowed to do that»
A refill of water would be… And extremely rude service.
We only find out the Internet went down and that we are unable to pay by card as we are at the register.

It ain’t what it was.
The service was lacking it’s home town country feeling that you’re family.
The menu was not that great like it was limited options.
The staff was rude and disrespectful.
Never coming back

This was a fun stop. We have passed this place many times and never stopped. I had to pee so we whipped in. Best choice we made all day. The food was good the view beautiful. The green beans needed more flavor kinda bland but there’s salt and pepper on the table. The potato salad was ok. The base seems to be ranch dressing with bacon. But the meat is wonderful. After you eat take a walk around the place.

Don’t let the tourist trap look fool you. Ended up here when the bbq place down the road had a line out the door. I had very low expectations, but the pork BBQ was a delightful surprise. The sauces (sweet and hot) are middling — didn’t love ‘em or hate ‘em, but the meat was quite good.
The potato salad was also a nice surprise. Tasted homemade, and I’m pretty sure there was bacon hiding in that mayonnaise base.
The place is clean with a cabiny décor. Service was friendly and quick. If you can, get a table with a river view.

Surprisingly very good BBQ, wasn’t a BBQ specific place but the pulled pork was amazing. Clean country atmosphere, great view. Friendly quick staff. Parking is a bit of a pain but so is everything with the city dwellers

Superb BBQ and, actually, a very tasty steak. Prices are fantastic, and the service is very personal. Really worth a stop, be sure to try the potato salad, and get some fudge for desert!

Place is very clean and have a great view of the Nottely river going through the back of the restaurant.
The menu is simple, I have Jack Daniels Burger (very good) with chips. Wife and Daughter in Law have the Pappy’s Black & Blue Burger and their comment is very good too.
Son have Pulled Pork Sandwich (recommendation add sweet barbecue sauce and Cole slow) Homemade Brunswick Stew, (cup) harder and light spice. We have tap water and one soda.
For dessert Wife and I slip the Peach Cobbler (their own home made) This came warm and a la mode and is real good. Daughter in Law had the Bread Pudding, (special made and is not in the menu) We all try a spoon full and is GOOD, (check the specials of the days before coming in) Son have Pappys Homemade Gooey Cake (serve hot) That one top the dessert on all of us as Wife say OUT OF THIS WORLD. Remember for that dessert need to wait 10 minutes for cooking time.
By the way we when for a late lunch (about 3 pm) and the server helped us on the decision of the menu and very knowledge.
Definitely we will go again and have a good stroll around the village and have a good meal.

What a joke! Went there on Thursday for dinner and they close at 6pm! The person we spoke to seemed put out we actually wanted to have dinner after 6pm. I think the owner was away so the staff decided to close early, there were even guests sitting at tables just getting their food. Won’t go back…

Pretty typical barbecue etc. Pleasant country like atmosphere.

We stopped into Pappy’s Plaza on way home from the Brasstown Bald because it looked cool and had lots of character. The plaza has tons of shops and a nice BBQ place right on the Trout Stream… The service started out ok cause the waitress was a lil bitchy and had a bit of an attitude but she warmed up once the other waitress came in. The food was really good I had the Pork BBQ it was nice and smokey and the sides were good also the Corn fritters were so good. We also got an order of fried pickles It was the first time I have had them and couldn’t pass it up. The price was cheap the view of the view from the river was great… U gotta stop in and check out the stores and have a nice lunch
