The exterior was very inviting and my mother-in-law loves to poke around these kinds of shops. We were there on a Sunday afternoon. The neon«open» sign was illuminated and we started up the walk but there was a rope across the stairs and a crude unlit sign that said closed. Because it was so close to noon and there was an older gentleman unloading merchandise we thought that they had just forgotten to take down the rope. My mother –in-law asked if they were open and the«gentleman» shouted, «NO! We’re closed!» «Oh, I’m sorry — your sign was lit so I thought you were open,» «Well, we’re not! We’re closed!» he shouted again. I kept waiting for the punchline, or at least to say they opened in a few minutes. But he didn’t. He just glared at us. My daughter checked the posted times online and they were supposed to be open from 11am — 5pm on Sundays. We were there a few minutes before noon. With that kind of attitude, we will not be back. Very unwelcoming and rude.

A TYPICALTOURISTSTOP! The first thing you will notice as you open the door to enter the porch is a huge selection of outdoor items for your home, garden, porch and patio. They had a nice selection of sculptures, planters, metal art and unique signs. If you have your kids or sweet tooth in tow, you will appreciate the«old school» candy selection such as the Chik-o-sticks, Bit o’ honey and fake cigarettes made from gum and candy. In addition, they also have a vast selection of fruit jams and jellies which are very popular in this area and tend to be in every store and in great supply at the local festivals. If you have a country themed home and are looking to add a few accent pieces, this little store should certainly piqué your interest and has several options for adding color to your existing décor.
