Had dinner here for my mother’s birthday. The service was excellent and the food was very good.(They are a little light on the salt and garlic). Our server really made the night. Very sweet young lady, who genuinely enjoyed being there. The whole wait staff came over and sang Happy Birthday to mom! She had a great dessert and was really made to feel special. I will definitely be back!

Delicious and interesting food, excellent service. Really enjoyed their chocolate-chicken salad. Interesting and fresh menu. No wine sold, but customers can bring in their own bottles. An amazing cellar downstairs with awesome gelato and a great selection of flavored olive oils and balsamic vinegars.

We tried this restaurant for the first time, yesterday. The food was excellent. The extensive lunch and dinner menus are available any time of day. The carrot cake was the best I have ever tasted. Next time we are walking around the cute town square, we will go to the downstairs for a gelato.

Didn’t really like the food. It was very blan. They gave me a diet coke in the bottle, which was very lame for a upper class Italian restaurant.

I love this place more every time I eat there!!! My dinner pals told me not to mention our little secret because then everyone will make the reservations impossible to get, but if you want a very authentic European Café experience, ask to dine in the basement! There are only three or four nicely set tables, they play jazz down there, it’s dark and intimate, and quiet enough for conversation. Bring your own wine; they’ll uncork it, pour and chill it for you. Service is unrushed and casual, yet efficient and unobtrusive. This place just feels good! OK, on to the food: We ordered appetizers of crab cakes(delicious, full of big lumps of crab and quite large, with a really nice sauce) and grilled shrimp dipped in coconut balsamic(you have to try this to believe it… amazing stuff). They sell gourmet balsamic down there :) Tonight two of us had the Chicken Marsala with spaghetti(pasta imported from Italy), and it was wonderful. The chicken is pounded thin and lightly breaded… So tender that I ate the whole meal with my fork. The Marsala mushroom sauce was rich, decadent and plentiful. I dipped their amazing seasoned bread in it and probably would’ve lapped it from the plate if there had been any left over after I devoured my meal. A member of our party ordered the filet Marsala, and he said that it, too, was perfection. His steak was nicely medium rare, as he requested. There was nothing left on any of our plates to take home… Now to dessert!!! The basement is where all the desserts live in glass cases full of handmade chocolates, pies, cheesecakes, and a dozen varieties of HOMEMADEFUDGE. You can browse the cases and make your choices rather than having a dessert tray brought to you… Do this! Nothing goes better with dessert than great coffee, and this place serves it with a french press at your table! Or you can have the barista make a you cappuccino or some other great coffee concoction.

Excellent surprise! Not that I was surprised that it was good(had numerous people praise the food here) but I was surprised at just HOW good it was. My wife ordered the shrimp Diavolo, paste cooked perfectly, a little spice, shrimp very fresh, nice flavor. I ordered the twin filet medallions Pizzaiola, medium rare, cooked perfectly, Prime quality cuts, extremely tender, little spice to them, excellent flavor. I got the meal of the night award.

Amazing food, great portions and very fair prices. There is nothing bad in the menu, but make room for dessert. Cakes and gelato. Salted Carmel gelato and espresso! Wine is byob, but the wine shop is next door and the beer shop down below

This place was awesome! Their espresso was so great and their deserts… Yum! Try their chocolate shrimp because it just sounds great but also taste great! Interesting chocolate use at this place! It was a little bit on the pricy side but can be worth it for a nice dinner and atmosphere.

We used to eat at ML’s a lot when the restaurant was in Hiawassee. Unexpected oasis in the land of fried everything and fatback. We get over to the new location in Blairsville as often as possible. Definitely worth the trip. Consistent quality and ample portions. I never thought that chocolate mixed with various entrees would be something that worked, but I was wrong. There are many other traditional items that are done well. Chef Lennie is a consummate professional, going around at times explaining his craft. And server Tara is a pill and who we ask for every time we go. The gelato, ice cream, and candy/fudge room in the basement is worth a visit too. This is definitely our favorite restaurant in north Georgia! My only regret is they stopped serving brunch on Sundays.

Great Italian meal. Similar to an Italian restaurant… not like an Olive Garden. Excellent caprese salad with amazing tomatoes. The entrée of the chicken carbonara and the spinach/mushroom ravioli were great. Not salty at all and both had some delicious sauces. The only thing is that it does not serve alcohol, but it is BYOB.

The food was very good. I gave it a three star because I felt we were being rushed. We wanted to have dessert at our table and were told to go down to The Cellar if we wanted dessert. We went down there and there was only a hand full of tables to accommodate Michaellee’s overflow. Patrons should not be made to feel they are being rushed, I don’t care how busy they are!

Wonderful dining experience every time I have eaten here. Everything is fresh, preparation is first class, and the taste of everything(including desserts) gets 2 thumbs up! It is a must stop every time I’m in the area!

Great date night with my husband. We thought the prices and portions were great! We both got a chocolate wrap. I got the shrimp and my husband got the chicken. Following dinner, we went down to The Cellar to enjoy wonderful desserts! They were amazing! Will be going back!

Splendid food and a Delightful atmosphere. My husband and I came here after did some various sight-seeing in Northern GA. We were going to go to the Pizza Spot in the downtown square, as we were starved, but thankfully the owner flagged us down to come and give it a try. We were a bit self-conscious because we had just come from hiking, but the staff and owner made us feel welcomed and comfortable. We sat outside in the front. Let me just say, service was southern good and our food came fast. OMG, the lobster bisque soup, it should win an award, it was amazing!!! I enjoyed the spinach and mushroom dish and I sopped up every drop with a roll. We later went to the café in the basement and bought authentic imported Itialian desserts and fudge(made on site). We will definitely be back:)

This was our first visit to this restaurant, and I am sure we will come again. The wait staff was exceptional, and the table setting was refreshingly nice with linen napkins. The space is small, but since we had reservations we were seated quickly. The menu offers sufficient variety of Italian cuisine in all major meats and vegan offerings. The prices may be a bit high, but the portions are ample to take away something. I would only suggest that instead of the commercial pat of butter that maybe they could provide something a little more elegant. I want this restaurant and other new ones on the square to bring patrons back to the off-the-main-drag eateries rather than the ubiquitous ones.

We stopped in on Friday night as we were passing through. Staff was very nice, ambiance is quaint and food is excellent. Meatball sub was one of the best ever. Spinach portabello ravioli was a great combination and the five cheese tortellini was excellent ad well. We would recommend!
