More and more I avoid this store. Dirty, if you dare peak at the floors! The produce is very poor. You rarely can find a firm bell pepper even in height of the season. They cannot even get their canned goods right! I bought pasteurized can of labeled lump crab meat on sale. Clearly it is not lump– more like shredded! They don’t even answer the phone– been calling x 2 days to tell them about the brand of crab they carry.

Overpriced, the staff is doing you a favor in helping you find anything in this supermarket and not clean.

Overpriced, slim selection, and kids at registers are so NOT friendly. You can say hello and they pretend not to hear you. So obnoxious. 2x a week the boy scouts are there looking for donations– you feel bad not giving something each week. I wish there was another place closer. I hate it here.

If I could rate it less than one star I would. This store suffers from a lack of competition and complacency. Today I walked in to be assaulted by something new — a greeter standing right in front of me that I had to walk around. While I was willing to give them credit for the attempt at least it was juxtaposed with the cashier who had to be told to end her personal conversation and ring me up. And she kept talking! Ponderous. Convenience is the only reason that I keep coming here for $ 10 – 20 needs while I do my major shopping at Shop Rite or Wegmans. Yes, I would rather drive to PENNSYLVANIA than shop here! It’s THAT bad.

These reviews are a joke. This supermarket is like EVERYOTHERSUPERMARKET except the very high end markets where you will pay more money. Yes some things are priced high and some things are priced low. It’s called shopping! If your into pinching your pennies good for you, shop around and find your bargains, but they have bargains just like everyone else. I have never found the store dirty or more dirty than any other market. It is convenient for the community and the full time staff I found very pleasant. I would like to see a larger selection of items, but I also must say there prime meat is as good as I’ve had anywhere! And I am very much a steak eater. Quite frankly I think it is the uppity community that needs to get itself in check, and I’ve been part of the community for 20yrs. But hey the great thing about America, freedom, if you don’t like it just shop somewhere else

Very very expensive store I was surprised to find a laundry detergent that I buy all the time for ten dollars was 16.99 here and on sale for one dollar less. The produce was old and gross looking I couldn’t find a head of lettuce that looked safe to buy. Also I asked where to find tape and the lady who helped me(I think she might have been manager) didn’t even look up from her clip board just pointed at the right isle and walked away and then the lady who checked us out was so unfriendly I felt uncomfortable and last but not least you have to bag your own groceries! Don’t get me wrong I’m not against bagging my own groceries especially somewhere where I’m getting a great bargain(like aldis) but it seemed ridiculous that I was paying these exorbitant prices and dealing with horrible costumer service and then had to bag my own groceries. I will not be returning.

If you can avoid shopping here, by all means, do. The staff seem nice enough, though they have never been very helpful in finding things, and I’d rate the store’s overall cleanliness level at a C or lower. Except for prominent sale items, everything is overpriced. Common international foods(Mexican, Chinese, Indian, etc) are the worst offenders, but everything from soup to cereal is noticeably more expensive than at other similar supermarkets. That being said, at least your bulk dry goods are likely to be safe — if you check the expiration dates on *everything*. I try to never buy meat or produce here if I can. Produce is often 30−50% more expensive than elsewhere, and half the time it’s rotten anyway. Meat from the in-store butcher section is often sickly colored and I’ve given up buying it, it’s made me sick enough times(the chicken especially). I’ve never even bought anything from their seafood section(though I love seafood normally), because it smells like low tide at high summer. Overall, this supermarket is an embarrassment to the community.

An embarrassment of monumental proportions. Half the food is in the process of rotting and the staff is not nice generally. Rotten meat ½ of the time.

The A & P is the largest market in Blairstown. The store has a small selection of organic produce. Decent prices. Market is OK.
