This review is of the Plumas-​Eureka State Park and the Johnsville Mine Hike. This hike is beautiful but a little more technical than the Bumpass Hell hike. I wouldn’t suggest it for children.
It was over 90 degrees when we did this hike but again, there is a lovely cool mountain breeze that flows through about every ten minutes. Grass lake is about 1.5 miles uphill and totally worth it. Make sure you see the waterfall, it is spectacular.
