Mountain Hardware And Sports

I had a small last minute project and didn’t have the right tools to do it while on vacation. The staff was extremely friendly and helped me get it done.
This store has a little bit of everything. Housewares, garden, hardware, and work clothes. Even some paintings from a local artist.
Wish everyone operated their business as well as this store does.

We have to hit «the merc» (sorry old names die hard) every time we’re in Graeagle. Our family motto is «if they don’t have it you probably don’t need it».

It seems that every trip I make to the Graeagle-​Blairsden area, I undoubtedly make at least one or two trips to Mountain Hardware & Sports. This is simply the most indispensable store for anyone who either lives in or visits the area. This store has pretty much everything you’re going to need when you come to this mountain village area.
They’ve got sporting goods, cabin décor & furnishings, apparel, paint and stains,. .. plus, rentals including bikes, snowshoes, power washers, etc.,. .. as well as all types of hardware: electrical, plumbing, building materials, tools, gardening supplies, kitchen and household goods,. .. well, you get the idea. .. if you need it, they’ve probably got it.
Also, this Mountain Hardware & Sports is an Ace Hardware franchise that truly lives up to the (actually, kind of silly) old jingle that «Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man» (or, here, sometimes, «helpful hardware woman»). They really go out of the way to take care of their customers. They are truly helpful and really seem to sincerely be interested in assisting with whatever your needs may be.
Even if you’re just visiting, it’s worth a walk down the aisles of this store just to enjoy it’s Old Town ambiance, and friendly & neighborly service. Grab a bag of popcorn from their popper near the front entrance, and enjoy a stroll through the aisles.
By the way, there is also an even larger Mountain Hardware & Sports located about 50 miles south in Truckee, CA in case that location is more convenient for you. I’ve visited the Truckee store as well, and it is just as cool !!! Enjoy !!!

This place has the typical Ace Hardware things in it, as well as gift/​sports items. Prices are high but there is a great selection and unique items, so it is worth a browse.
