We love The Driftwood! I usually order the petite filet with shrimp. The filet is always seasoned and cooked to perfection. My husband gets the large filet and is amazed each time at the size and beauty of it. Their steaks are better and less expensive than any place in Omaha. The sweet potato medley is delicious. I always choose the house salad with raspberry vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles. The lobby is cozy with a river view and is especially enjoyable when the fireplace is lit.

The worst ribeye I have ever eaten, the salad was poor very little dressing and never offered a refill on my water. The marina was $ 7 dollars less but 1000 times better!

This place was great. People were nice and food was fantastic. Went their two weeks ago for the first time and the a couple we met there also said it was excellent. They were even so nice to let us go ahead of them with regards to our reservation, because they really wanted us to try it. They were absolutely correct. Planning on going again this Saturday as well.

I’ve been here many times. Their fillet is the best around and at a great price. The sides and salads I would rate as average. This place is very casual and the service is always great. Try the carrot cake; it’s really good. I would certainly recommend.

For starters, if you’re looking for a chic dining location, this isn’t for you. It looks like someone’s house. The view is great — you look out on the mighty Missouri River, as it gently flows by. If on the other hand, you are looking for good service and very good steaks, then THIS is the place you have been looking for. Weird Stuff: They are open Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and are located at the corners of «No» and«Where» — they are well north of Blair, so make sure you have a good GPS with an updated database, and use the address, or Mapquest the location. The Really Good: The entrée — I ordered the Large Fillet(10 ounces, $ 23.95) medium rare. It came the way I asked for it, and it was seasoned nicely. The darn thing nearly melted in my mouth, it was so good. The Okay: The baked potato came with butter(the real stuff — around ¼ a stick!) and sour cream, and the house salad was okay. No salad bar here. I also ordered a glass of the Walnut Crest Cabernet($ 5), which was reasonably fresh, and really made the meal go down well. The bread that was brought out(with garlic butter) was also pretty darn tasty, crisp, and just plain good. The Not so Great: The peas(in the pods) served with the entrée were a little flat. I had already blown the diet, so I figured I’d go all-out, and I ordered the cheesecake($ 4.99) for desert. It was frozen cheesecake. The bottom had defrosted, but the top, well, it hadn’t quite got there yet. Still, it was okay to eat, tasted okay, but given the steak, I had hoped for more. The whole tab, with tip came to less than $ 43. Zounds — I could have skipped the desert and kept it less than $ 40.
