The young team members are really quite customer friendly. The wood department did an excellent job.

It seems like I am making the Home Improvement tour lately. Its only fair that I give Menards a try. Overall customer service is lackluster. The employees seem to want to be somewhere else. However, one employee in electric seemed to stand out. He was quite helpful and knew exactly where his stock was. He is the second star you see above. You have to keep a close eye on the stock. There appeared to be a fair amount of damaged goods mixed in with acceptable stock. Do they cull damaged goods from the shelf? Checkout is a chore. The cashier is on the same side of the belt as you. This seems awkward to me. Our cashier seemed to lack the knowledge or ability to ascertain the price on unlabeled stock. Overall checkout time was about 10 minutes(just me). On the plus side, they seem to have more electrical and plumbing supplies than the competition.

This is my favorite Menards. It’s always clean and the employees are always right there with an answer for any of my questions. I have nothing bad to say about this location. I’ve had some special order items through them as well. I also appreciate their flexibility with returns, they don’t give you the third degree on a simple return like some other stores.

The staff here is always really helpful. The manager, Eric, is even available to help you find things, which is unusual. Typically, you just get some schmuck who points you off in some direction until you find another scmuck to point you back from where you came until you finally stumble upon what you’re looking for by some miracle! But not here. It seems like the staff is very knowledgable and knows right where everything is. Even if you ask someone in a department they don’t work in, they often walk you right over to where the item is and put you in contact with a staff member there who can help answer any questions if necessary. So, in a big box store, you get treated like you would in a local hardware store – it’s nice. The prices are usually a little cheaper too than the Lowe’s just up the highway.
