This winery is permanently closed due to retirement. I guess this happened just this week.

Recently I joined a group of my lady friends for a day of wine tasting closer to home. We started at Dakota Creek, arriving on a Saturday afternoon. They were very busy, which is always a good sign, and although their tiny little tasting room was bursting at the seams our large group was greeted warmly and cheerfully. We enjoyed a(free) tasting of five wines, and most of us went home with at least a bottle or two.(I chose the Dry Riesling, $ 15.) It’s always good to see a local business doing well, and I’ll look forward to visiting Dakota Creek again. I hear they have lovely outdoor patio seating in the summer. Oh and don’t forget to check out their wine club, it looked like a great deal!

This little winery is a gem. Ken and Jill have created incredible wines that you just cannot turn away. Their down to earth hospitality just keeps you wanting to go back again and again, not to mention their wines. Their wine cellar is incredible, too. The energy overall is so welcoming. I just love to go there.

Recently did my second Art Show @ the Winery [ at the Winery. Ken was a gracious Host & delightful Wine maker! They sold wine by the glass — sampled the 2008 Pinot Gris.(De-lish!) Their Firefighter Red is a real winner for taste & quality. It’s always the first to sell out. Prices range from $ 17 — 25 a bottle. Stop by Thursday through Saturday from 1 – 5 pm to pick your favorite & say«hi» to Ken for me ;-)
