Captive Elements

I have wanted to get a triple forward helix piercing for some time now. The other night I went in to talk to the piercer, and hopefully get it pierced. The piercer came out to look at my ear and just laughed at me. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Had she respectfully told me she was unable to do that particular piercing I would have understood. However she made me feel stupid for even asking. The next day I went to a different piercing place, and they did the piercing with no problem, it looks great. Will not be returning to this establishment.

Went and got my tongue pierced here. The owner (can’t remember his name) was very nice and took the time to answer all of my questions even though there was a line of people behind me.
For my next body piercing I’ll go back here.

I was looking for a new place to get inked since I had recently moved. I read some decent reviews about this place, and since it was close to home I stopped in to check it out. The artist came over, and she had the biggest attitude. I told her what I wanted and she told me that she would do it but it would be the size and placement of her choosing. I left. Aren’t tattoos supposed to be what the client wants, not what the artist wants to do? I went to a shop a little further away and got the exact size and placement that I wanted.

You need one word in piercing: SKOT. He has worked at a few shops in the past but has been at captive elements in Blaine for going on two years. He is very knowledgable not only about piercing, but body modification in general. I have had three separate piercings done by him and wouldn’t recommend anyone else as much as i do him. Also, i have never met a piercer that stressed aftercare as much as skot has. Not only that, but he made me feel comfortable enough taht if i did have any issues, i was to come in and see him right away.

Although not as well-​known (or centrally located) as Saint Sabrina’s, I found myself at Captive Elements for a detailed sleeve. I’d been looking for the right artist to do it for a long time and a friend finally steered me towards Jessie. So I gave her a ring and met her in the shop. I’m so glad I did.
Note that the shop is in a strip mall. The sign is big and easy to see, but you can cruise right past it, too.
So I got there. I’ve found that, in a lot of tattoo and piercing parlors, the employees are a bit… I don’t know. Elitist? Like, «My tattoos and gauged ears make me cooler than you and we both know it.» Not the case at C.E. Not at all. The shop has an awesome atmosphere and while I’ll probably never let anybody other than Jessie put ink in my skin again, I had a fun repertoire with all the people working the days I’ve been in. The shop is very clean and sanitary, without giving you that feeling that you’re being quarantined in hospital like some other places that shall remain nameless.
I found the prices to be fair and reasonable. The only downside for me was making the trek up to Blaine… but when you’re putting something on your body that is permanent, no travel is really too far for good work.
Jessie still has my deposit money… looking forward to putting it to use in the near future.

Got 2 of my 3 tattoos there, & would go back again if I knew what I wanted. Clean place, staff is friendly. Jessie McNally did the ones I got there & they look great!

I got 6 out of my 7 tattoos here, done by Jon… who’s no longer there. I had a great experience. It was never crazy busy, all the artists were really nice, and respectful. If I was planning on getting another tattoo any time soon and couldn’t get a hold of Jon I would totally see another one of the great artists.

My only complaints are that it’s so far out of the city, and all the swords kinda creep me out, that being said all the artist out there are nice and give a solid and SANITARY tattoo. I have 2 tattoos from Andy, and plan on getting more!

I haven’t been to Captive Elements in a while, but I had such a good experience when I was there that I wanted to make sure they get a mention in Unilocal.
Elby was my piercer and he came *highly* recommended by a good friend of mine. Wow, I’m glad I took him up on that recommendation.
I’ve been pierced quite a number of times, but only once by Elby, which is too bad because he’s probably the most patient, gentle, warm but still professional piercer I’ve encountered.
Their prices are good. They used to have a frequent piercer card… get so many piercings, get one free kind of deal (not sure of the exact wording, so don’t quote me!)…not sure if they have that anymore.
I wish Captive Elements wasn’t soooo far away from me. I’d really like to be part of their «frequent piercer» deal.
