Arrived almost at closing time. No jerk chicken so I had to get oxtail. It was horrible. The rice n peas were undone and soggy. The oxtail was pitiful and the plate was half full. For the cost, anything else is better.

Rudest people ever. No concept of customer service at all. Yelling across the room at customers, ignoring customers while watching tv. Just terrible.

My go-to for West Indian food in PG county. I’ve been coming here for about 10 years and the food is consistently good, although sometimes the guy at the counter(not sure if he’s the owner) can be a little grumpy. My mom can’t stand him, but I happen to specialize in making grumpy old men smile lol(get your mind out of the gutter). I love the curry goat, sailfish and ackee, ox tail, mannish water, and escovitch king fish! One time and one time only, I ordered ox tail and they added spinners, it was delicious! But they have never done it again… Whenever I want some food that reminds me of a significant portion of my childhood, I visit this spot. They also sell prepackaged West Indian ice cream, you’ve got to get some rum raisin for desert!

You have to visit on a Saturday when they have Conch Soup. You must come early because they always run out. Their soup is the best thing they have going. I have tried the food and its not all that great. Its edible and if your not caribbean you would think its great but its alright. Now I can not stop talking about the soup. The chicken, cow foot, and especially the conch. Trust me you will keep going back for more. For those that are scared of pepper, beware. It is very spicy but soo good! Can’t give it 5 stars because of the other food. The soup is definitely 5 star worthy

This is a pretty cool spot. I am giving it 4 stars because the service was awesome. The owner was very helpful and generous. After buying 4 dinners and 5 beef patties he threw in another three chicken patties for free, which was really kind. The place is a bit homey/whole in the wall-ish, but that’s what’s expected when the focus is homemade take out. The curry chicken was really good, the oxtail were nice and tender, not too fatty and the gravy was good, need a little sweetness, but that just my particular preference, not an actual fault. The jerk smelled and looked great, but was beyond spicy, like too hot to continuously eat and for I’m willing to bet the jerk sauce came from a jar. All said, the food was good, the prices were good and the owner is a great guy. Worth a try!

Decided to try it but when I arrived the service was slow due to being short-staffed. It took 5 mins for the lady to come back to the front to say hi to me after serving a customer. When I asked to order the oxtail she said they did not have oxtail and then proceeded to inform me that there was not any curry goat or curry chicken. Disappointed and heartbroken, I left. Went back the next day, I walked in and a different lady was taking orders. Rather than asking what i would like to order or how may I help you, she sticks her hand in the tip jaw and starts to count the cash for two minutes without even acknowledging my verbally or through eye contact, so I left. Kind of sick of the rudeness I experience at Jamaican places, I grew up with it as a child but won’t give a dollar to any business that can’t hire better employees. Nice way to celebrate our independence. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because they never managed to take my order so I can’t judge the food.

I wasn’t really convinced, I got the escovitched fish and the flavor was just different from what I’m use to, maybe I’ll try again some day, maybe.

This place receives five stars if for nothing else but the wonderful beautiful always smiling young lady at the counter. I’m so impressed with the atmosphere here. I’m always starving when I visit this establishment. This time a took along a friend. He’s Japanese/Korean mix and had never tried Caribbean. I suggested he true a Patty and jerk chicken. I ordered red snapper and bammy. He ate all my was delicious. He thoroughly enjoyed the chicken patty. My fish was light and very well cooked. I also got large sorell and pineapple ginger drinks to go(no ice)

Not your typical Caribbean carryout — no attitude and great food! The owner is such a nice guy too! I love Fridays there, I have to get my fill with goat soup and coco bread. Get the curry goat and fried plantain when you come here. It’s as good as it gets here. Great prices too for Caribbean food. Negril and tropicana can’t hold a candle to this place. It is my go to spot for Caribbean food.

For the most part thefood is great, But on occasion I find that somethings aren’t consistent like the jerk chicken and curry chicken To me the jerk chicken is not Authentic Taste like it comes from the oven and not from the pit Everything else is okay

i thought i’d write a review on this place because, although i don’t live in MD anymore, this food is great and i really miss it now that i live in california where the jamaican restaurants are watered-down for the american palette. caribbean superior got me through my pregnancy! lol excellent food. a go-to spot for good caribbean food. eat in or carry out. friendly atmosphere, and everything always tastes perfect.

Must know what to get. Ackee with food: ackee and salt fish with boiled yam, green banana, plantains, dumpling. Will make you feel the best you’ve ever felt, seriously, and of course taste a lot better than it sounds trust.

Solid 3.5 I would love to give this place 4 stars IF it were consistent. Probably some of the most authentic and best Jamaican dishes I’ve had in the area.
