Great local pizzeria. One of the best in town. The owner is very attentive and passionate about his food. That’s rare to see these days.

Staying in the local hotel and wanted something. I could bring back to the hotel. Got an individual pizza and side salad. Pizza was great! Very good sauce and plenty of toppings! The guy running the place was super friendly as well. I would give it 5 stars however the salad, while better then most pizza places was still boring. Needs a few more toppings. I would imagine he would have done it if I asked though. Anyway I will be going back and highly recommend if you are in for a good and quick cooked fresh pizza.

I’ve been going here for 8 years and I am never disappointed. the Sicilian pizza is great. never seems to be that busy which I like. There’s nothing bad about it! It’s in a good location too, easy to get to for the most part.

There are certain places you eat that warms you in all sorts of ways. Some places have some history behind them and you continue to visit because of the memories it brings back. Some places have the most amazing dish or drink or that one thing that no one else makes just like them. Some places serve an item that you might not have heard of before and just can’t get anywhere else. For me, Gattinelli’s is that place. I worked there while I was in high school. It was the second job I ever had. It is a family business, and the love and care Sal(owner/operator) shows for his family bleeds into the business as well. Sal isn’t satisfied with mass-produced, canned and processed ingredients. If you take the time to dissect the flavors you’re enjoying(I often have a difficult time with this as I’m scarfing down the tasty goodness with haste), you will discover the high quality and care that is put into hand selecting the finest ingredients with which to treat your pallet. The mozzarella is fresh and lingers on your tongue after the rest goes down when eating a pie. The pizza sauce is expertly seasoned and isn’t some canned tomato purée some shops and chains feel perfectly comfortable slopping on their pies. You can feel the bits of crushed tomato in the sauce. Their dough is hand-crafted and if you’re in the mood for a show and ask nice, Sal will show you some of his aerial acrobatic dough skills, tossing and whirling it through the air with ease and grace. They make things in a way I’ve never seen duplicated. I was blessed and cursed by this since I’ve been able to experience the best, but since I’ve left the area, have found no one else to even come close. This shop has ruined me for all other Italian options, the world-over. The Sicilian pizza takes two days to make. The dough is specially prepared the day before serving. After marinating in an initial treatment of olive oil, fresh Italian spices, and sauce over night, the pizza is artfully developed with a symphony of ingredients the meld so well, your taste buds will remain in ecstasy even after you’ve completed your slice. The bottom is light, airy, and crisp, while the top of the dough is soft and flavorful, carefully holding the toppings and combining well. My hat’s off to you if you can down more than one slice; they’re pretty hearty. The cheese steaks are everything I want.(Oh, by the way… if you say steak and cheese YOU’REDEADWRONG!!!) The beef is perfect and tasty, seasoned while cooking. Again with the ingredients… high-quality results in a superior meal for you.(How I left Jersey without being 900 pounds, I’ll never know.) This is the best cheese steak outside of South Philly you’ll get, and I’d say he beats most of them as well. There are certain staples to Philly that will remain legendary, but I digress. There are regular Italian platters available as well. All ingredients are quality and each item is made with care and a fierce pride that radiates as you consume your meal. It’s a normal pizzeria upon entering. It has the obligatory soda fridge and chips rack. The restaurant is laid out galley-style but is not cramped so you feel comfortable eating-in. those that dine-in won’t be bothered by people coming for take-out or the drivers getting ready to make their deliveries… decently thought-out layout. While I worked there, Sal’s family would visit. His brother, mother, wife, and son would visit and everyone of them would make me feel like I was a part of their family, no matter my Irish heritage. I’d watch Sal cook for his family and was amazed to see no difference in the way he cooked for them from the way he made dishes for his customers; there was the same amount of care and pride devoted to each. This place hardly requires praises as it has a long, and I mean LONG time customer base. Half of Washington Township’s cops eat there(yet they all seem fit) as do some Troopers I’ve seen stop in. If you want to feel safe some place in Jersey, well let me just say that the shop’s alarm went off one night and about half the Force responded within 2 minutes, lol. I’m laughing, but seriously… two minutes. I don’t know what else I can say about the place. The food is amazing, is high-quality, contains amazing ingredients, and is prepared with love and care. The service is great and you’ll feel like one of the family. The deliveries are swift and the shop is located near two major arteries and close to some great sopping locales. This place has earned the five stars I’ve given it.
