This place is packed a good amount and the service can be slow — However, the food is stellar and of good value. An ideal sports bar with solid wings, burgers(buy one get one free on Mon!), small plates, and of course the drink specials. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Bartenders are beyond rude. Was celebrating an anniversary with fiancé among family and friends and got kicked out for kissing. Male bartender called us gross and claimed we were wasted. Our whole party was disgusted by his actions. Very unprofessional. Guess that service is expected though when you hire college dropouts at a generic chain bar. Skip this place, you can get better wings at food lion.

First thing is if you are thinking you are going to get normal bar food here you are wrong. The salads are large and with fresh ingredients. The burgers are fresh and great. The wraps are equally as good. I like that you can basically make any sandwich on the menu into a wrap. Can’t say enough about the great bar staff. Friendly and very helpful if you are not sure what you want to drink. If you haven’t tried I recommend you stop by and give it a try.

Never had a bad time at sharkys, everything I’ve ever gotten off the menu has been above average! The beers are always cold and they have a killer happy hour! 6 dollars a pitcher! Love this place and always go atleast once when I visit blacksburg!

Wings were small. It good. The ribs were a disaster. Boiled and drowning in BBQ sauce. So generic I would never order rhen again.

Good: the food was delicious, the waiters were kind. Bad: the customers were obnoxious, the air was smokey, the outdoor seating was cramped.

I wouldn’t really consider sharky’s as a restaurant. It’s a great bar. No doubt about it. But when j went for dinner, the food was pretty disappointing. This is a college bar with decent happy hour menu. Definitely not a family restaurant.

Enjoyed my breakfast burger. Happy hours until 9pm. Lots of TVs. Service can be long at times but decent.

The food would have to be a 4 – 4.5, but the service was exceptional awful. I had the Tex-Mex burger which is topped with their chili and smothered with cheese. It was very good and you can definitely tell that they don’t use frozen pre-made patties. My boyfriend has the onion, mushroom, and cheese burger, it was also very good. The seasoned fries are awesome, as are the tater tots(also good to add cheese and bacon to them). The prices are what you would expect, roughly about $ 8.50+ for the burgers. Monday’s are BOGO burger day, which is awesome. They also have beer specials. They seem to have some sort of special every day of the week. Even though the restaurant only had a handful of patrons, there were about 5 employees mostly standing around. It took a couple of minutes before we were even greeted by anyone. Our waitress took and drink order and dropped them by, once she took our food order we never saw her again. She had another waitress drop off our food and our check. None of the staff was friendly at all, even the waitress that dropped off our food was unfriendly. The food was great, but the service really destroyed the experience.

I’ve been here twice now. The first time we were there for Steppin’ Out and sat outside on the patio. There were two waitresses working outside and we got the attention of one or the other every 10 minutes or so. Both seemed to imply that the other would help us any minute. We left after 45 minutes with no menus, water, or cutlery. We have them a second chance for their all you can eat taco, pizza and wing buffet. The pizza is mediocre french bread pizza, which was a huge let down. The wings and tacos were good, but competition is stiff in this town and the buffet price just isn’t competitive. Probably won’t be back.

This place is amazing. Best fried pickles in Blacksburg. The sweet potato fries have an amazing dipping sauce. I could seriously have a meal if nothing but appetizers. Not to mention an excellent collection of beer and burgers to die for. If I gave out 5 star ratings, I’d seriously consider granting one here!

Great happy hour! One dollar shots and 2 dollar drinks for rail liquor. If you want a cheap night, this is the place to go. The Monday special is nice because it is a buy one get one free deal.

Apparently they are known for their chicken wings, I did not try them. They have Happy Hour drink prices until 9 pm, including $ 6 pitchers of Yuengling, and $ 8 pitchers of fancier beers. On Mondays there are 2 for 1 Burgers. The Burgers were fine, I wouldn’t pay full price, but for 2-for-1, totally worth it. Choices between fries, waffle fries, tots, etc. Love all the options! Nice patio seating, and friendly staff. They put up with our drunken group one night, and our group full of people coming and going another night. All in all, a good choice in downtown Blacksburg.

Great burgers, possibly best in Blacksburg.(Buy one, get one free on Mondays) Kitchen is super slow. Not that packed, and my 2 friends waited 20 – 25 minutes for 3 burgers. Burgers do not take more than 10 – 15 mins to cook, I don’t get why it took 30 minutes to get a burger and fries. But, in the end, the burgers are amazing and quite possibly l, my favorite in town.

If I were 21, maybe. At 37, it’s a resounding no. I hate having to wait for drinks and I really hate seeing people falling down drunk(literally). Outside patio was so packed we couldn’t even get relief out there. Sardine can for sure…

Lunch at Sharkey’s is great. Tons of beer to try while you are waiting on your food. and you will wait, and wait some more. Slow service and a slower kitchen. Food and beer are good though.

Not a wing and Rib joint… it’s a drinking joint for happy hour! Happy hour specials are good. They definitely cater to the student crowd of Blacksburg. Their crap dip is outstanding! Shark Juice on Wednesdays is my favorite. Their Long Island Iced Teas aren’t for the faint of heart. Heck, none of their drinks are. Usually very busy and noisy. Their is a pool table in the back if you can ever get to it. I have tried most of their menu items(ribs, salads, wings, etc.) but they aren’t anything outstanding. The pizza bar is pizza brought in from somewhere else.

Wing and Rib Joint? Better name would be Blacksburg’s best place to drink underage. The happy hour specials are ok I guess, I mean a bottom of the barrel double poured rot gut liquor drink is what it is.

BEST happy hour deals ever. This is my favorite bar in Blacksburg. The long islands here are awesome! Normally long islands are kind of gross, but they’re so yummy at Sharkeys! The only negative thing about Sharkeys is that it gets really crowded sometimes. Most of the time when I’m by the bar and happy hour is over, the bartenders still give me happy hour prices, so that’s nice. :D

Sharkey’s is officially my favorite bar in America. Ewwww! Sharkey’s? Yes. Sharkey’s. I’ve heard rumors that this place gets crowded in the winter and smells like pee. I don’t care. I would sit IN a toilet for drink specials like these. From 5pm-9pm you can get a double vodka soda for $ 2. Yes. TWO. DOLLARS. Two hundred pennies. 40 nickels. 8 quarters. 20 dimes. Two Sacagewea golden dollars. I didn’t try the food. I probably never will. That definitely doesn’t bother me. The only thing that bothers me is that these specials might not justify a 12 hour road trip.
