Holiday Inn Express & Suites BLACKSBURG – UNIVERSITY AREA

we stayed in the kingbed room. its pretty big room except the bathroom. u have to stand to side of the toilet 2 open or close it. the cleaning crew extremly loud when cleaning the other rooms. they have small fridge, microwave, coffee pot pull out sleeper sofa about 40 in flat screen tv, small business table, chair. also had small usb hub. the hotel had small wieght area 1 treadmill. nice size pool though. comp breakfast with eggs and all day coffee. i did not like the taste though. i like my coffee strong.

I’ve stayed here before when it was a Comfort Inn, but this is my first stay in it as a Holiday Inn Express. The lobby is nice and the staff at the front desk are pleasant.
The room itself is alright. The bathroom is so tiny that you have to stand next to the toilet or in the bathtub to open and close the door. Not ideal. The room has a nice sitting area with a couch and chair, as well as two chairs at the desk. Beds are pretty comfortable and you have pillow choices– soft or firm.
You know how awesome those Holiday Inn Express pancake machines are?! Me neither. My dad got pancakes when he ate breakfast early, but by the time I went down for breakfast at 7:30, the machine was off!
Also, there is a LOT of construction going on nearby. It’s quiet at night, but during the day it’s lols of trucks and banging and all kinds of noises.
