We had a family reunion here. Very nice lodge for a state park resort. There are so many fun activities very close by. Ride horses, rent boats, golf, bike trails, walking trails, some planned activities and drive to Hot Springs, easy. Lots to do in HS. Lodge employees very friendly and eager to please. If you like spa services, don’t be hesitant GO! We hope to visit again…

Very fun golf course to play. As someone previously said, front 9 is pretty open and the back 9 is totally different. If you usually play courses that are flat as I do, it is quite a challenge getting the right club here. Still a lot of fun and worth every penny charged.

Very nice state park course. Front nine is open but the back nine is narrow with forest trees as your«out of bounds»(i.e. if you hit up in there, don’t bother looking). All but one par 3 are long(160−170+) from the whites(their third set back); water is in play on a few holes from streams(mostly dry on this trip) to man-made ponds. Rolling terrain on the fairways, some with a fair amount of elevation change; greens are well maintained, also with some undulation making for challenging reads and putts. Bermuda rough is cut short enough that you won’t lose your ball if you hit into it, but no so short to not make the shot out the rough challenging, especially with feet above/below ball shots(which is quite common on this course). Very pretty and scenic course. Tee times generally not required, but best to check for any tournaments that might be happening during your visit.
