Should be zero stars. Will never go back. Daughter and I went there for pedi. Her nail technician cut corners of both of her big toes so far back they’re throbbing and bleeding. Both of our hot stone massages I paid for were not really massages. Nail polish was so so and no means of drying polish on ties so we could go. I ended up walking out barefoot into the cold.

Dont waste your money!!! I got a pink fill there today and the tech was extremely short with me and not friendly. I asked if she could please push back my cuticles(pretty standard) and she snapped she didn’t have time. She very quickly applied acrylic, which ended up all over my fingers as well, which wouldn’t be a big deal except she left it there and I’m still peeling it off in chunks. She quickly applied the gel layer, so the final coat of my nails are uneven, bumpy, and have entire pieces of my nail that have no shine whatsoever because it was completely missed. This is a chop shop. If you want quality, go somewhere else.

I’m from out of town and discovered this salon from coworkers who are also from out of town. I’ve been satisfied with my mani and pedi both times I visited. The only negative feedback that I have is that they«only» take cash or check even though they have a credit card machine and their front door has the standard credit card decals that they accept. Since my first time visiting(mid-September) they have installed an ATM machine(but they will reimburse you the transaction fee, you just have to ask). In fact, when you’re ready to pay for your services and you pull out your card they will politely ask for cash or check. They will not accept your credit card. Consider the warning. Take it for what it is(shady or not shady).

I went to City Nails yesterday on a recommendation of a friend’s friend who goes there & really likes them. Maybe they treat their regular customers differently– but my experience there was anything but pleasant. Which is quite disappointing since my manicure-pedicure cost me $ 41.00. I was greeted by a nail tech who was pleasant & asked me to wait a moment. Then a man that I am assuming was the owner rudely asked me «what I needed». I explained I had an appointment but then got no response. He treated the next customer just as rudely as he did me. Once seated in the spa chair the water was way too hot. No one asked about it and I waited for awhile before anyone came to begin the service. The pedicure went downhill from there. The nail tech who did my pedicure started to clip the corners of each toenail and then proceeded to pull the clipped corner of the nail all the way down my toe. Large chunks of skin came off and my toe was bleeding. I asked him to stop because it hurt. He looked surprised that I asked this. I have gotten pedicures for years and have never seen this done before. The toe he did this on is still sore & bleeding. The removal of excess cuticle was sub-par and the polish job looked like my 8 year old niece did it. He «massaged» my legs w/salt scrub and again I had to ask him to stop because he was rubbing so hard my skin hurt. He roughly scrubbed my toes & tops of my feet w/a scrub brush that left red marks. The manicure was equally as bad. Then when I payed, he wanted me to use cash. Their sign on the door said they took credit cards but then a small sign at the check-in stand asked customers to help the salon keep credit card fees down by paying w/cash. Really? I have never run into that before! I will never go back there & I will never recommend this place to anyone. I wonder if the male nail tech even had his license. I would not even give this salon 1 star but In order to post my review, I must rate it.

I went on a Friday in the summer time and they were doing quantity not quality work. I have crooked toe nails now. I am not super picky but when your trying to get a lot of people through the work gets a little messy. I also seen them wash the metal clippers etc. in the sink with a jar marked detergent, no sterilizer needed.

Mom had pretty good service on her nail fill but I had a pedicure that was horrible. Will never go back. The only reason for the second star is Moms nail fill.

Best nail shop around! Better than any place in Minot as well. I moved from cali so it was a difficult journey trying to find a good nail shop in ND. They are nice which is a change from other places around. Very helpful and make u feel at home :) I always recommend this place. Owner is very nice and funny. I am always laughing when I go here! Prices reasonable and always happy with my pedicures and acrylics! Thanks City Nails!

Super friendly and very clean. I’ve been here twice and they’ve done a great job both times. I think I found a new nail salon. The only complaint that I have are the prices at this salon.

The place is well run and very clean. I have had my nails done there 3 times so far, and they did a great job at a reasonable amount. I also had my eyebrows waxed and they did a good job shaping them. I splurged and experimented with eyelash extensions. It was only $ 25 and they glued individual eyelashes between my real eyelashes. It looked great. I didn’t have to put on mascara for 2 weeks.

Not a fan of the prices but the service is good and the people are nice. Plus, one of the manicurist is from Long Beach(a place I know and love) so that was nice. They charge you for a «nail kit», your own buffer and nail file. Which is a great idea that none of the other places out here seem to know about. I always bring my own stuff when I get my nails done. It’s a sanitary concern. But here, if you don’t have your own tools, they provide for a buck. So overall, 4⁄5 stars. If the prices were better I’d be at 5 stars, but $ 25 for a fill was a bit much for me. Especially when I’m used to paying that for a new full set back in Los Angeles where everything is KNOWN to be pricey.

The nail salon was clean and colorfully decorated. The owner Gino and the two nail technicians were friendly and very helpful with options for my pedicure. I loved my pedicure! Beautiful design on the great toe with zebra stripes on the other toes-colorful and fun! Prices are comparable with other salon(Regular Manicure and Spa Pedicure $ 40). I was charged $ 1.00 for a nail file and nail buffer that you bring back for your next visit. Small price to pay for hygiene peace of mind. Another patron got eyelash extent ions they were beautiful($ 25 extentions last 2 weeks). I will definitely go back!
