I went to see stand up comedy here on Nov 21st. Although the show was amazing, I’m specifically writing this review about the venue itself. It’s an interesting venue to say the least. Two bars, one at the entrance and one inside the theatre itself. It’s a fairly small venue with chairs you have to manually place so that the Royale can have its versatility and accommodate to different acts. As a comedy fan, I would love for this to be a place comedians from around the Southwest can perform and draw a crowd here. It has a giant fan inside. It’s a neat little room. This venue is as much of a rare gem as the Bisbee turquoise that existed in the mountains it’s built on top of.

Awesome place. Went one night for a movie and returned another for an Oscars event complete with Champagne tasting. Fun menu, delicious food, great owners and staff.

I just love this place. It’s truly worth attending an event or movie just to see the inside and have a chance to talk to the cool staff. We went to watch the movie Fight Club and was very impressed with the entire set up… they offer tables and booths for comfortable seating. And they serve food and drinks(including beer, wine and a full bar) before and during the movie, which is really cool! It;s a great way to treat yourself to a relaxing evening and a nice opportunity to meet some locals.

This review is for the pub at the royal. My compliments to the chef. Seriously. This restaurant has been open for a few months, and the food is amazing. Everything is made in house I believe, because it tasted so fresh. Next time we go down, definitely looking forward to trying more!

Absolutely one of the best-run venues I’ve come across. And right here in my tiny little town! This used to be a church, but after extensive renovations it’s been turned into a theater/pub/music venue. And I’ve got to give the owner(s) props, they’ve done it right — the sound system is one of the best I’ve seen, the volume is plenty loud but never to the level of aural assault, and the bar is well-stocked(if a little short on the higher-end options). The DJ they hired on the one dance night I’ve been to was one of the best I’ve heard, and the giant fan over the dance floor is pure genius. Their movie projection setup is surprisingly good too. I’ve not been to the pub part, as that only recently opened; I’ll probably be back with an update regarding the food soon. I really hope The Royale is viable in the long term; Bisbee needs this place but may or may not have the economy to support it. Maybe more out-of-town acts will help draw folks in from nearby towns?

Like a mini-House of Blues! Plenty of seating and room to dance. Reasonable drink prices. GREAT entertainment options!

Apparently this building was originally The First Baptist Church. When I entered their lounge for the first time I knew I had found my new favorite bar in town. They serve unique and special drink selections. I had a delicious hot toddy with whiskey, and a friend of mine got a hot salted caramel vodka with apple cider. Someone told me the band would be playing an encore on stage. I cringed, because I assumed it would be so loud I couldn’t talk with the people at my table. Instead, when The Tryst came on stage I could hear everyone at my table and enjoy the music. We ended up there 3 nights in a row. We saw Terry Wolf sit on a piano and play her signature ode to the desert music. Then Melissa Reeves wailed like a new age Joplin. The last night was The Samples, and the house was packed! Every night the drinks were delicious, and the sound was perfect!
