I have been going to this Neighborhood Wal-Mart for over four years and I have to say that I am very impressed with their staff. Customer service is very important to me and many times I will not shop at a certain store if customer service is lacking. The cashiers at this store have always greeted me and never make me feel like I’m a burden for them to have to checkout. I have been in other Wal-Marts that if a cashier is not busy they will just leave their post so they don’t have to check you out. However, in this store, I have actually been requested to go in a «closed» line so I can check out and not wait. WHAT??? Yep, that’s what I said. Someone who went above and beyond duty to provide good customer service! Since this is a neighborhood Wal-Mart they don’t carry ALL of the items that a Super Wal-Mart does but you know what I don’t care. I like going where I matter and these folks are fitting the bill. Kudos to you guys… Keep up the great work!

A 4 Star review for a Wal-Mart, you say? I must surely be suffering from dysentery, right? Well, calm thyselves Unilocalers, this is a «Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market», not a Wal-Mart. Here is the difference for the unknowing. This Market is like the Super Wal-Mart, minus the Wal-Mart. Let me explain. Before we had Super Wal-Marts, we just had plain ol’ Wal-Marts. This was where you could buy all the random things Wal-Mart offers, but they did not have things such as fresh produce, a butcher counter, etc. Basically, they didn’t have a grocery store. Then came Super Wal-Marts, which just meant that in a standard Wal-Mart, they added in a grocery story. This made it ‘Super’. Unfortunately, guys, I have found that if I wear a coat made of pork loin, rutabaga, water chestnuts and oleo that it doesn’t make the ladies refer to me as «Super Bryan». In fact, quite the opposite seems to happen. So this whole theory of «add groceries, becomes super» is another of the Walton family’s tools of deception. Anyway, so you had Wal-Mart with no grocery stores, and then you had Super Wal-Mart which had a grocery store. Then there comes this lovely place, the Neighborhood Market. According to the Walton Family branding strategy, I think this is a misnomer. It should simply be called«Super». Because it is a Super Walmart without the Wal-Mart! Makes sense to me! Well, what I found was the quality low prices you go to a Wal-Mart for on things like Soup, Bread, various snacks, etc. What I did not find was the masses of chaotic people, disorganization and lack of services that you find at normal Wal-Marts. EUREEKA! I have found the Gold at the end of the Rainbow! I was able to do my Wal-Mart type grocery shopping in about 15 minutes total. This is an absolute record for me. The only problem is that I have moved away from this area, and it is quite a haul to get here. However, if you live in the area, and buy various items at Wal-Mart, use this one. Or on second thought, don’t. That way it doesn’t become more crowded and less super.
