Went there for my birthday and the experience was amazing. My wait staff was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and was very attentive, pleasant and courteous

Sunday 6⁄5 I had a nice meal with my husband at Seasons 52 in Birmingham. We chose this restaurant specifically for it’s gluten sensitive menu, as I have celiac disease. Upon meeting our waitress I let her know that I have celiac disease(and explained what I couldn’t have), I already had the gluten sensitive menu in my hand. We ordered the Ahi Tuna Tartare. While ordering, I asked about the crisp that comes with it. The waitress told me that the crisp was gluten sensitive but that it was not gluten free. She said that nothing in the restaurant is gluten free.(I made the mistake of not pursuing this further, and will be instead asking questions to corporate to clarify this issue.) Since she stated that the crisp is not in-fact gluten free, I asked for the crisp on the side, so my husband could have it, but not potentially cross-contaminate me. The Ahi Tartare was great, love it. I also enjoyed the shrimp and grits(gluten sensitive menu also). When the check came, we were charged an upcharge for the gluten sensitive crisp, which I couldn’t even eat. The gluten sensitive menu has many options. I’m very happy to have it. Service was fine. Husband enjoyed his meal, too. My issue with this restaurant is the unsureness of the gluten free status of the food. Apparently, there is no gluten ingredients used. However, the waitress said there is no gluten free food. Which is it? As a celiac, I need to know if this restaurant is safe toeat at. I hope that corporate will respond to me and I’ll be able to update this review.

Attended a travel agency mixer hosted here by Travel Divas. I’d never been to the restaurant prior to the event. The staff was very hospitable and courteous. I like the ambiance of the place as well. The food menu isn’t near as expansive as the wine/cocktails menu but there were still some really good options. I ordered the roasted half chicken, mash potatoes with mixed vegetables. The dish was full of flavor and I was very pleased with my choice. I also ordered the stuffed mushrooms with lump crabmeat & shrimp for my appetizer. Delectable!

Seasons 52 was overall a really great dining experience for our large group until the end of our meal(more specifics on that later). Given that Seasons 52 is located in The Summit, parking is not an issue, and there is valet. Their service is top notch. I initially made a reservation for 10 on OpenTable on a Saturday at 6PM. When our group expanded to 16, I called, and they changed it without any issues. When we arrived, there was a long table set for us, and the servers knew how to smoothly manage orders for a large party — really awesome! Their menu is seasonal and changes fairly frequently depending on what is in-season. Calorie counts are listed so you can make good choices. I had the cedar plank-roasted salmon with a cup of potato & leek soup to start. Others in our group had the vegetarian tasting, other soups, salads, scallops, & flatbread — all were delicious & perfectly-sized portions. When we were done with our entrees, the servers mentioned that they had a «little surprise» for us and brought out a rack of their little desserts. We each took one, excitedly, and those were delightful(I had the smores one). Some of us were ready to go in for a second. When time came for our checks, we all noticed that we had been charged for the desserts. Nobody was about to make a scene over an extra $ 3 on their check, but we all felt like we were misled about this«little surprise». Maybe we shouldn’t have been so naïve because«there’s no such thing as a free lunch(or dessert)», as they say. So much is good about Seasons 52 — the service, the food, the ambience, their ability to accommodate large parties — so I will likely be back & will still recommend it to people… but maybe after a little hiatus to wise up about desserts.

I was in Birmingham with a group of colleagues. One of our customers recommended we try this place. All 5 of us were very impressed from the quality food and drinks to the friendly service. We started with the steak Flatbread and some lobster ravioli. 2 of us had the potato and leak soup(excellent). For entrees, 3 of us went with the carmelized sea scallops served over risotto, 1 had the steak entrée salad, and 1 had the lobster pappardelle. Everyone loved their selection! The scallops were perfect! Not over done or rubbery in the slightest. Our server brought out the mini dessert shooters and we ended up getting a few to share. The raspberry marscapone cheesecake was my favorite. No complaints here, just excellent food and service.

I’ve only ever been here for happy hour but the quality on the specials is worth 5 stars! What brings the atmosphere down is sometimes when you go and just order happy hour specials(which include food) than the servers are noticeably judgmental or even annoyed. It’s worth taking the scathing look and enjoying the otherwise high class ambience for their flights and flatbreads deal $ 15 for a flight of wine, a full glass of your favorite option, and a flat bread.

I was first referred to Seasons 52 due to their ever changing seasonal menu to maintain the freshest and ripest fruits and vegetables available to really expand on flavor and impact. This led up to the hype of food control quality, however I do have a few discrepancies. The atmosphere there is very airy, with an open floor plan, high ceilings, and very mod style fixtures. The service was prompt, however, our server didn’t seem to know much about the menu other than her personal favorite items there(which, to me, motioned that she wasn’t new, she just didn’t do her homework) The food was pretty good though. We enjoyed a flatbread pizza as an appetizer and it certainly lived up to it’s reputation. The entrees, however, weren’t all that they had been cut out to be. The flavor was good, yes, and the food arrived in good timing, but I wasnt extremely impressed like I had hoped to be. Perhaps it was just a low-stock day, but all 4 people in my party ordered different items and we all agreed that the portions were pretty skimpy for the price. Our check was around 65 dollars, which is average for this type of restaurant, but we were all dismayed by the fact that, for the price we paid, we still felt hungry when we left. I still like to tell friends to the area to try out Seasons 52 if they’re looking for something new and with a very aware sense of freshness, but I have gone to other restaurants over this one since. Perhaps next time I will just order a flat bread to myself during lunch, rather than going at dinner time and expecting a filling meal.

Hard to pick a meal since it changes all the time. What a great concept. The menu changes depending on what is fresh and in season. Atmosphere — Wonderful! Clean, beautiful. Happy hour! Live music. Sometimes I have seen a guy with a guitar other times people playing the piano. Staff — Maybe the best in B’ham. Friendly, lively, knowledgeable of an ever changing menu. Drinks — Full bar huge wine selection. Food — Amazing! Flatbreads, appetizers, salads. Entrees of lobster, sea scallions, steak, trout. Everything is always amazing. Dessert — Pie, brownies, s’mores Even with the menu changing everything is always great. this is one of my favorite places.

I dined her on Christmas Eve for the first time, and had a great experience! Our server was one of the best servers I’ve ever had at any restaurant in Birmingham. We had the hummus as an appetizer and I ordered the filet mignon, then two shooter desserts that were amazing!!! Great wine selection and recommendation from the awesome server. He was so attentive on checking on us, refilling waters, etc. Negative: Dined here again right after Christmas during the day and was not happy at all with the service! The food was great, I had the flank steak and butternut squash soup. It was not nearly as crowded but we only saw our waiter twice in one hour. Drinks: waters were left unfilled for 30 minutes!!! As a former sever myself, there really is no reason for this if your section is not busy! I’ll go again for sure, but won’t sit in that servers section :)

Went on a Saturday evening with my husband. Hostess was very nice, greeted us, and seated us instantly. Establishment was dimly lit, in a good way, lit candles on all of the tables. Our server was pleasant as well. The menu seemed limited with very few entrees to choose from, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. However, when we ordered the 13oz NY strip, we were told the sides are not substitutable. The steak came with mashed potatoes and marinated mixed vegetables. The presentation was very nice, but don’t expect a Texas Roadhouse portion of potatoes with your steak, which didn’t seem proportional to the steak. The steak was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. Our food also came very quickly, less than 15 minutes after ordering. FYI: There was no bread provided before or with the meal, but maybe thats normal. After boxing the remainder of our steak in a to-go box, our server brought out an array of small deserts for us to choose from. She then shined a little light on them and explained what they were. We thought it was a unique presentation. Overall, this is a good restaurant for date night under $ 100. Service was good, restaurant was clean, food was tasty, hot, fast, and presentable.

We have eaten here several times before and were never that impressed. It is a pretty place and is a good atmosphere for a night out with your significant other, even with it being a chain restaurant. However, up till the other night, I was just never impressed with their execution of food. That being said, in the past usually ordered salads and they were just one step short of being rave worthy and for the price should be rave worthy. On Friday night we went and yes it was crowded. One tip is to get in quickly, make a reservation via OpenTable. We did so right before we arrived and got right in. Others came with no reservation and were told a 45 minute wait. We both started with their Bramble drink which was a fine version of this nice berry/whisky based drink. Wife ordered Shrimp and Grits and I ordered the Scallops. I have to say, both were really well executed and presented beautifully My scallops were cooked perfectly with a nice crust on one side. They were served on top of a light risotto and brocollini. There were at least 8 scallop on my plate and they were huge. Great portion size and really well made. Wife’s shrimp and girts were perfect. The grits were not overwhelming. There was just enough grits to provide the taste, but not a big ass bowl to blow you up. I like the fact they give you the calorie count. At least you have some idea just how bad this might be for you. Helps for smart eating. I’m glad we ventured beyond the salads and we will be back for some fresh food served well in a really nice atmosphere.

My second visit to Season’s was much better than my original experience. I had a working lunch with two collegues today. We shared the Lobster and Fresh Mozzarella Flatbread as an appetizer. The flatbread was thin and the toppings were a good combination. The dough could had been cooked a tad longer. The center pieces were not as crisp as the outsides. But, the flatbread was still pretty tasty, and a safe choice to share. I ordered the Grilled Flat Iron Steak Salad, and it was wonderful. The greens were a good variety, and were very fresh. I’m a fan of the Bibb lettuce and the grilled red onions. Three generous slices of beef were tender and full of flavor. I ordered the meat cooked medium-rare and it was bright red. I recommend ordering it cooked«medium» if you prefer beef to be a bit more pink. The dressing was a horseradish vinegarette. The horseradish gave it an edge, but was not too strong. I liked the uniqueness of the dressing, and thought it complemented the meat very well. The desserts are served in individual shot glasses that are the perfect size for me. i enjoy a few bites of dessert, and I am usually too full to enjoy a typical serving size. They offer a good variety to choose from, and I opted for the Pecan Pie. Those three bites were delicious. I have to admit that I was not that excited about returning, but my opinion of Season’s is now positive. The service was good, and the food was excellent.

This place is amazing! We go here for special occasions and to try the new menu for each season. We love the healthy portion sizes of each meal and the desserts with a cup of coffee to top off your meal gets me every time! My food is always delicioso and this place always makes any type of fish dinner I select taste great! They get it right every time. My go to meal, is the rainbow trout meal with the chocolate peanut butter dessert w/a cup of black coffee! Such a nice atmosphere with live entertainment with a piano player behind the bar!

Jamie and I have been to several Seasons 52 restaurants in other cities, and we’ve always been thoroughly satisfied with every aspect of the experience. Unfortunately, the experience at Birmingham’s Seasons 52 doesn’t follow this trend. We’ve now been to this location twice, and both times we were disappointed. The food has been OK, but the service has been exceedingly awful. The first time we went was Mother’s Day. Understandably, they were busy, but it seemed like no one did anything to prepare the restaurant for the extra load. Our meal took two and a half hours, not counting the time it took to be seated. We ordered no appetizers. Just entries and desserts. During that time, our server barely stopped by as drinks ran empty. We wrote it off, assuming that maybe someone didn’t show up or something. Still a sign of poor management, but OK… Then yesterday, we went back for my wife’s birthday. We figured a 6:00 reservation on a Monday would be a fair time to show up. We showed up early at 5:40, but the hostess seated us quickly and confidently. We waited and waited, watching the manager walk by our table several times, when finally a server named Daniel came to our table. He said he was not our server, but our server was helping another customer. He took our order for water and soda, and brought them to us a few minutes later. He also brought us a happy hour menu. He then changed the story, telling us our server wasn’t able to clock in until 6:00. A while later, after the manager and everyone else in the restaurant walked by our table half a dozen times, our server Jeremy finally arrived. Jeremy’s service didn’t improve things much. Our drinks sat empty for about ten minutes at one point. During that time, Jeremy visited all of his other tables several times, but never stopped at our table once. Every time we go to Seasons 52, the check is over $ 100. For that price, you expect decent service. My recommendation is to go to another restaurant in the area. Almost all of them will give you a better experience.

We has the carmelized scallops and the salmon entre. Both were very light but filling. Fair wine selection. Pricey but the service was great and we enjoyed the food.
