Q Nails

The service was wonderful! I spent a spa day here with my mother and grandmother. The staff was very friendly and did a great job. Very reasonably priced too. We will definitely be going back!

This was my go to nail salon 2011 – 2012. After the move back to Bham, my nails were in desperate need of some pampering, so why would I go anywhere else, right?! Well, the owners were still the same (and I recognized a few other faces), but the quality had gone down since I visited last. Not much time spent massaging my legs or arms… Less than 20 seconds per leg… I counted! I got home and not only were my nails painted red, but so were parts of toes! I could have done the same thing at home and saved 40 bucks!

My new favorite nail place in Birmingham. I’m scared to tell everyone how wonderful this place is because I don’t want to lose the ability to just walk in and get my services lickety split!
But … alas, my responsibility as an Elite Unilocaler is to share the secrets of Birmingham and show the love.
It’s a nail place — and there are specifics about a nail place that you have to have. It’s gotta be clean (check). It’s gotta be friendly (check). It’s gotta be quick (check). It’s gotta be priced right (check).
Clean is important — There is nothing more disgusting than having someone cutting your cuticles who has dirt under their nails. YUCK. Not at Q-​Nails. This place is very clean and always upgrading their equipment and facility.
Gotta be friendly — I go to get my nails done to R E L A X! There is nothing more unnerving than having your nail tech speak a different language and laugh. Now — not sayin’ they are laughing at me, but … just sayin’, ya know? Everyone speaks very good English at Q Nails and they are conversational when they sense I want to talk and are totally fine saying nothing when I want to chill. I’d been in only 2 times before the owner already knew my name and said hello to me outside the salon once.
FAST SERVICE is important too — I don’t sit still very well. I especially don’t sit still when someone is touching me (wait … whaaa?). I am happy that I get in and out of there quickly, but they spend the perfect amount of time massaging my footsies!
Q Nails is definitely fairly priced. There are 8 places to have my nails done within about 5 miles of my home. Each one of them more expensive than the next and the service can be a little sketch sometimes. Q-​Nails is fairly prices. And considering all the other plusses — definitely worth the extra few minutes drive.
