Pita Loco

Great Gyro Plate and burgers. The owner and staff are the friendliest people. I have been coming in here for years.
Two years ago during snowstorm, he stayed open till midnight for two days to accommodate everyone stuck in their office overnight. I was one of them and greatly appreciated it.

Stopped in here for some lunch from huntsville best gyro I’ve had in the state and the fries are amazing. The place was clean the staff friendly and the food was made fresh really good.

Good Mediterranean food can be hard to find, especially for reasonable prices. It’s even harder to find a place that can keep up with a huge sudden invasion of customers. Pita Loco nailed both points.
I was in town for WordCamp Birmingham 2013 and Pita Loco was one of the local lunch spots that partnered with the conference. We had vouchers for $ 10 worth of food and it was packed with our attendees ordering, waiting and eating.
I’m sure this was well outside of their normal lunch rush situation, yet they handled it with ease. The staff were friendly even in the frustrating chaos of people and orders. Everything was cooked fresh — they didn’t try to pre-​cook a bunch and let things sit.
We got a falafel plate and a gyro plate and both were served in over-​stuffed boxes. I got 5 nice, crisp, thick patties about the size of a flattened golf ball with a delightful lemon tang. The box also included some amazing hummus, smooth and garlickey, fresh fruit, a nice little salad, and some great wild rice (and I’m not a rice fan). My friend’s gyro plate had several thick slices of perfectly seasoned lamb seared crisp with a great crust. Accompanied by nice soft pitas, rich and thick tzatziki, and the salad/​rice/​fruit sides.
Each plate was $ 9.50 and came with a fountain drink. Totally worth it, we couldn’t even finish everything. Everything was fresh, excellent quality, and amazing flavor.
The menu has more than just Mediterranean food, they also had some good looking burgers, chicken fingers/​wings, and I was super compelled to go order some fries or onion rings. Also a plus for having mint iced tea, although unfortunately they were out by the time I got there — I bet it was good.
If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely go back!

A very convenient restaurant, the owner is friendly, remembers the regulars, knows what they usually order, and accommodates requests within reason. The food is good, filling, and well cooked.

I loved this place. This was recommended by my fiancé’, I was actually aprehensive of even going in at first. The staff was so nice and patient. I ended up getting the gyro salad plate, it was awesome. My favorite part about the place was the mint tea!

I love eating here. The owner is very kind and does not charge as much as he should for the great food. I love his veggie omlettes and Talapia plates!!! Very kind man!!!
