I’ve always had a good experience here but I just ordered an Americano that was extremely weak– more like the dreaded«restaurant coffee». Another shot of espresso and/or less hot water would help.

Fantastic, friendly service, at least at 5 pm– obviously not a peak time– and the caramel macchiato is fantastic. I had never been there before, so maybe I’m missing something but I couldn’t find an outlet near any of the available tables. Very small, so I’m sure it’s not great for a study hangout during peak times. But as far as a coffee shop goes, this place looks great.

I was glad to see this location open, as it is more convenient for us to go to. I have always loved their coffee drinks, from frappes to mochas. The inside is nice and quiet, but I love sitting at one of the patio tables overlooking the park. Haven’t tried the baked goods yet, but they do look quite tasty.

Pros: Uncomplicated coffee Affordable Friendly baristas Clean bathroom Nice outdoor seating– shady Great place to study or work on the free wifi Cons: Nothing Try the pecan coffee during the Fall season… it’s perfect to sip outside on a crisp morning.

This place is within walking distance from my house. I love walking here with my pup and sitting on the porch. I’m giving this place 3 stars solely on the drip coffee(I mean it’s a coffee shop right?) It’s not the best coffee. It’s not very flavorful and the«dark» roast is very light. They have about 30 kinds behind the bar for you to grind and take home but I don’t know if they would be any better based on what I tasted. HOWEVER, they have great service and yummy treats from a local baker. Try the strawberry cake that everyone talks about! y

Yes, Mom. I have a keurig that makes perfectly acceptable coffee at home for the fraction of the cost as coffee shops. But sometimes you just want someone else to make your coffee, and I feel pretty lucky to live within walking distance to O’Henrys. I met a friend Saturday morning for a cup o’ Joe. Tables outside were full, but inside was empty(and much cooler). I didn’t venture out when picking coffee, but do yourself a favor and stop by when you’re in the neighborhood. Friendly folks behind the counter, good coffee, and chic environment. Five stars from me!

I can always count on a good experience at this O Henrys. Besides their muffins being so popular and good that they sell out fast sometimes that would be the only complaint you will have from me. Taylor is my favorite staff member of this location. She is always very nice, customer oriented, and explains things without having to ask. All of the staff have been very helpful and every single time they need to re-brew something they don’t make it seem like a burden. They are happy to help and want you to have good coffee. The coffee: I don’t need to say much because it speaks for itself it is my FAVORITE in town. Not just this location but all of them. They roast their own beans and always feature about 4 kinds per day. It is like Christmas when I go in because I never know which blend I get to try that day:) Muffins: AWESOME. It really shows they use fresh ingredients. The lemon poppy seed actually tastes like lemon, don’t even make me talk about the chocolate mocha because I will go drive down there now to get it, the blueberry could use more berries in it but it’s still good, and the glorious morning muffin is truly glorious to bite into! Go here!

Let me start by saying that the coffee is really good. But that is where the compliment stops. They not only were extremely slow(like 15 minuets for a small coffee) but the girl who took our order literally tried to charge me $ 20 for a $ 12 order. She also apparently didn’t hear anything I said to here(I.e. No whip cream, biscotti NOT scone, etc.) it’s sad that this one lady ruined the experience, but we will not be going back.

Went here to grab coffee before heading to the dog park. I love that it is dog friendly, and they have dog bowls of water out front. The inside is very cozy, with an old coffee house/bookstore feel.

One of the best in town. Been coming here for around 15 years. Good service and atmosphere.

I am so ecstatic that the Highland area finally has a coffee shop. I felt like that was the only thing missing in such a quaint, dog-friendly community. The baristas are friendly, and the shop is cozy with coffee, tea, and souvenir items for sale. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the dark roast of the day, Tanzania Peaberry, and my boyfriend got the regular roast of the day(I don’t recall the name) and a slice of strawberry cake. I’m a die-had fan of the Edgar’s Bakery strawberry cake, but this one is sitting up top on that list with Edgar’s now! Give it a try. The dark roast was perfection in my book– I love my coffee strong and black. I’m thinking about trying a few more roasts before committing to buying myself my own bag of Tanzania though. I love that, since having a friend who lives right around the corner, taking a stroll to grab a cup of coffee there is an enjoyable start to a day. Even if you have to drive, bring your pup, park, and grab a cup and enjoy a nice stroll around the neighborhood. Needless to say, I will be back!

Very glad to have a coffee shop in Highland Park next to Rojo! It’s unfortunately quite small and the coffee isn’t amazing given the price. But it’s no doubt a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Service often seems excellent too, in that the staff seem friendly and prompt.

Absurdly enough, coming from someone who barely drinks coffee, I love that there is finally a coffeehouse in this neighborhood! What a complement to the area. Popped in here after dinner at Rojo. This O’Henry’s location is pretty tiny, with tables just on one side of the space. The baristas that helped us were polite and nice young men. Lots of drink options. My 12 ounce decaf coffee set me back $ 2.51. So not exactly super piggy bank friendly. The sweet treats looked tantalizingly tempting, but I used every last gram of willpower to resist. I’ll have to give in another time. Pleasant, homey atmosphere for sitting and chatting with your pals. Bathroom was tidy. If you are not Christian, you may feel a little weird upon seeing Bible Bars at the counter and a cross on the wall. The coffee scents must really be strong! My purse smelled like coffee upon later examination.

I love this new location! It is so close to the neighborhood and the Baristas seem to be trained very well. They know how to make a great drink! They have a new Almond Croissant that is good. Tasted so fresh like I was in a little café up in New York!

A large(16 or 20oz) drip coffee is $ 3.10, and their pastries are pretty regular Otis Spunkmeyer-ish. I think a small muffin is about $ 3. A bit overpriced in my opinion. Also, if you pay by credit or debit card, there is no way to leave a tip, which is a problem in 2014, where most people pay by credit card. For the prices they charge, the quality should be better, and it should be easy to tip employees.
