Los Arcos

This is a great after work spot. The food /​drinks are adequate. The customer service is great.

I went late to catch a game. The staff was extremely nice. Great Place to hang out and have a cold one.

No wait for seating.
Order taken promptly.
I had a mahi mahi with rice dish. It was very good.
Only disappointment was that when we went to pay, cashier was distracted and we had to wait for him to finish a conversation with another employee. We also discovered that there were daily specials available that were not on the regular menu and appeared to only be posted at the register.
Will still likely return.

This is NOT no Taco Bell. We talking bout good moist chicken, green bell peppers, onions, rice, refried beans, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes… This was definitely a perfect Fajita. I came to this place before for their .99 Taco Tuesday but tonight I wanted to try something different. I am very happy I did, the food was fresh along with crunch vegetables to top it off. I will come back again to enjoy a really good meal like this with a laid back atmosphere. I sat at the bar with a couple of guys watching a college game no one was loud shared a few laughs and ended the night. If you ever desire to have a good meal at a good price check this place out even on a Tuesday.

First off the food is nothing outstanding. It’s standard «Mexican» but what makes me give this place 4 stars is the price. The prices are the lowest I have come across and the service is always great. They have .99 tacos on Tuesday and cheap drinks!

I really wish there was a way to review in increments of .5 because Los Arcos, though a good Mexican restaurant, isn’t a GREAT Mexican restaurant. More of a 3.5 than a 4, but better than a 3. But it definitely is a good spot for basic chips, salsa and tacos. In fact, I think their beef tacos are probably the best thing I’ve had on the menu. The taco shells are fresh and crisp and on the thin side, which I like. Note that the burritos aren’t the hefty, heavy big as your head burritos. They are the same size as the enchiladas. Each are rolled up to maybe half the circumference of a normal size enchilada. My friend got the burrito deluxe and there was nothing deluxe about it. I think because it was topped with sour cream, tomatoes and lettuce. My combo of one taco and two enchiladas and rice and beans came out on three separate plates. One tip: don’t get the queso con carne. The beef/​chili «mixture» that comes in the queso was oily and not very tasty. It had a very cheap taste, like a «not quite like beef» taste. It was kinda weird. Just don’t do it. But the beef on my taco and in the enchilada taste much better and seem to be of better quality. Happy hour margaritas are $ 6.50 for a jumbo size but I didn’t try it. Thursday night margaritas (regular size) are 2.99.
Anyway, overall it’s a good place to get the basics. I’m just happy to see a cool spot in the old O’Charley’s. There are very few sit-​down restaurants over here so I hope it stays around for a while.

I love this place. Food is very good and very inexpensive. I am a very very picky person when it comes to restaurants. You wont be disappointed.

This place is great! Taco Tues they have tacos for .99¢, they also have happy hour 7 days a week! We have been here several times and the food is always good. Fridays they have a mariachi band! Olé!

This place is soooo good they have excellent food. The service was great and the atmosphere is very good too I have taken several people there for Mexican food. And they’re actually typically very affordable! :)

The food was amazing! The server we had was more than excellent. never had to ask for a refill or for more salsa. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.

¡Ay caramba! This is by far sub standard to the Los Arcos in Vestavia Hills. By the end of the night, my intestines were cussing me out. We came here for my kid’s birthday, because she wanted Mexican. Having been to the other location, we thought we would be fine. She hated her food so much that she was crying. She didn’t even want the song and hat to celebrate her day. The experience ruined it for her and for us. Needless to say that we echoed her dissatisfaction.
The servers were friendly, and those two women are the two stars I have in this review. They were sweet and attentive. The cashier, on the other hand, acted like he had better things to do than take our money. Okay, then. We’ll spend it somewhere else.

My expectations of this place were high. Will say the prices are reasonable but food wasn’t what I expected. They do have dolkar tacos on Mondays and margarita Tuesdays.
