This was a very nice comic shop. Easy to find.

Very helpful staff! I was in from out of town and stopped in to see what they had. I bought a wall book and some back issues (remember those?) and went back the next night for some more. Nice selection of modern books with some bronze and copper age mixed in for some the finding. Prices were very good and quite reasonable. Thanks again!

Good selection of comics, back issues, toys, etc. The staff here is friendly if you acknowledge them but they aren’t going to go out of their way to talk to you. Best store in the Hoover-​Vestavia-​280 area.

When I walked into Kingdom, we were not acknowledged by the dude behind the counter at all, not even a salutation or an offer to help us find something. Ok, fine, maybe he’s busy. I checked every shelf for the issue I was looking for and didn’t see it (not that I can say much about their organization), so I went back to ask the dude if he had the issue in stock. Just looked at me blankly and said, «Nope.» Didn’t offer to order it, didn’t say when they’d have it next, just, «Nope.»
If I wanted to deal with an emotionless robot I’d have just ordered it off the internet.

I’m new to the whole comic book thing and the guys here have been great. They have not tried to steer me towards any books I might not like based upon what I’ve been reading. If you’ve enjoyed any of the Marvel movies this is the place to come to start that comic book collection. They also have a ton of really cool collectibles.

Kingdom Comics is just an excellent comic shop. The owner, Stan, goes out of his way to be a good ambassador for the comics industry to the community, holding special events at the store (like for Free Comic Book day).
The store does an excellent job with new issues, and they offer a pull list service. I used them for a few years before I had to stop buying new comics, and I never once had any problems. They don’t have the best selection of back issues, but they do have some.
They’ve also got a decent selection of toys, statues, and graphic novels.
They aren’t the cheapest shop on the planet, but they also don’t engage in some of the price gouging that you’ll encounter at other stores.
I heartily recommend Kingdom Comics.
