Extended Stay America – Birmingham

Stayed here for 4 nights for my dad’s surgery at UAB and will never stay here again. Mainly due to the lack of employee involvement when it comes to making sure we have evrything. Not once were we contacted to make sure that we had everything we needed. We even requested a room cleaning due to the infestation of DEAD ROLLI POLLI BUGS!!! I will attached picture.
They never cleaned after we requested. I went to grab more towels after using ours for 3 nights and they didn’t have any left so we had to wait all night with no phone call when they were ready. Its too easy to make sure your paying customers have what they need.
They nicest person was some random guy pushing a trash can who saw me walking to find a dumpster to throw my trash and offered to take it for me. Thank you to that guy :)

I’ll never stay here or deal with this hotel again.
I booked a room for one night in Birmingham, AL. I was driving across country, and wanted to be able to break my trip up into two days. So Day 1, I drive for approximately 10 hours. I call ahead to let the hotel know I was going to be super late (12:30a) and to make sure I would be able to check in. They said no problem, to use the courtesy phone when I arrived and someone would immediately be down to check me in. Great.
So I arrive, right on schedule, at 12:30a. There are 3 other gentlemen in the parking lot, who have been waiting already an hour for someone to come check them in. I call the main number for Extended Stay. They can’t reach anyone to come let us in. They tell me that I could go to another Extended Stay location in Birmingham, but since I paid online with Travelocity, I would be charged. Again.
Between all of us calling (5 now at this point because another person had arrived) as well as my husband, we finally got someone there to check us in. An hour after I had arrived. Needless to say, I won’t make this mistake again.

Beyond nasty!!! Dated, smells in the room, parties out in the parking lots, Management is horrible! Bed linens nasty, towels old and scratchy! Pots and pans crusted with food! Do NOT stay here!!!

It was alright for the price. Room was out dated, breakfast was typical grab and go, definitely for those who are on a budget. Paid through Hotwire and like the sayin goes «You get what you pay for». Basically it was a simple room, for sleep and bathing. Front desk girls okay as well.

The hotel rooms are not very hygienic. No proper breakfast available. But found a really cheap deal. So i cant really complain. Worth the money I spent for it.
