I’ve been here for breakfast twice now. The first time, I ordered a Nova bagel(lox, capers, onion, cream cheese) which was super tasty and a good value. I ordered a cheddar-sausage biscuit the second visit thinking it was a sandwich(it’s not, it’s a cheddar-sausage flavored biscuit) and was pretty disappointed. The beau got oatmeal and it was nearly inedible: pasty and mega bland. This atmosphere is nothing to write home about. The service is hurried and average at best. We’d go back for the Nova but will never make the mistake of ordering a non-bagel again. A-okay but there are other places I’d rather spend my breakfast bucks.

First impression is that, while charming in its own way, the layout inside is extremely frustrating. You must place your order at the counter, which is immediately to your left as you walk in the door. There is no real space to step back and peruse the menu. You’re pretty much stuck where you are until you figure out what you want, so you better figure it out quickly or the people walking in behind you be damned. We grabbed some breakfast sandwiches to go: mine a sweet onion with sausage, egg, and cheese and hubby’s an everything with ham, egg, and cheese. We also got some bagels(a pumpernickel, a garlic, and a sesame) along with some of their garlic and herb cream cheese. The service was sort of harried, but it was a Sunday morning, and they seemed very busy. We didn’t eat the sandwiches until we got back to our campsite at Hoover RV Park, which isn’t exactly nearby, and they held up well during the drive. We sat outside of our camper to enjoy them in the nice weather, splitting both, and I accidentally dropped my half of the ham and cheese on the ground after only taking two or three bites. I picked it up, fully intending to continue eating it, until my husband pointed out all the gravel that was now stuck to the cheese. I was honestly very sad. The other bagels survived at least another two days before they were eaten and they were just as good a couple days old as the sandwiches were the morning we got them. The garlic and herb cream cheese was also delicious. The hubby and I have been dying for some freshly-made bagels since leaving the PNW, and sadly, south-eastern Alabama has nothing to offer(at least not that we’re aware of). This was a great find during our weekend in Birmingham.

Excited that a jalapeño bagel was left this late in the AM! Esp. crowded today with break started but folks still pleasant and going extra mile. It’s the little things :)

Finally found a place in Birmingham that serves their sandwich menu before«lunch» time. I think they might be the only one in Birmingham who doesn’t shun me for ordering a sandwich at breakfast.

Love the buffalo chicken wrap. I’ve been going for several months now and receive both great service and food.

Popped in here to grab some bagels for the office one morning and the line wasn’t too bad. You place your order at the counter on the left when you first walk in and then pay at the end of the counter. It was kind of hard to figure this out because the people working hardly even looked up when anyone walked the door. I made the mistake of eating my Everything bagel, right before a meeting — beware the onion and garlic breath! Otherwise the bagel was soft and delicious!

I have enjoyed going to Crestline Bagel for years. But it was always just a little too far off the beaten path for a quick breakfast pick-up. Not that I am living nearby, this is now a danger to any future weight-loss I might pursue. I am a sausage, egg, and cheese bagel person. And with the soft deliciousness of their bagels, Crestline Bagel has one of the best I’ve ever eaten. They are usually pretty crowded on weekend mornings. But the line moves pretty fast. If you planning on eating there, tables can sometimes be difficult. But that adds to the quaint feel of the place. The coffee is always good and goes great with your bagel sandwich. Be sure to give this place a try.

Quaint little bagel shop in Crestline. They have a vast selection of bagels and spreads. The breakfast sandwiches and paninis are all delicious. The sausage and egg on the everything bagel is my favorite combination!

I refuse to give this place my business, not because the food is terrible(it is decent, nothing special), but because of the owner. I have never met a more pompous, egotistical indvidual in my entire life. After spending three years working in Crestline he established himself as the known neighborhood jerk. Constantly bickering with other merchants, while he himself keeps an erb garden by his dumpster, and paints his own parking spot lines, over-stepping upon to others property. Crestline is full of wonderful places to eat owned by friendly, hard-working individuals. Give your money to them, not this jerk.

Best bagel shop in town! A staple for our family’s weekends. Great for breakfast. They have good lunch sandwiches but the bagels are the star! The everything bagel is so good and if you like fresh bagels this is the place to go!

Delicious bagels! The only thing I mind about this place is their layout, it seems they intentionally structured the space to make everything the most complicate possible. From ordering, to paying, to eating, all is just a mess! Sad, but still… they make REALYGREATBAGELS!

Best bagels in Alabama; because it’s the only bagel shop in Alabama. I had the plain bagel with cream cheese, lox, tomatoes, capers and onions. It was pretty good, but I think the bagel itself was just ok. I was pretty disappointed that they offer no cheese bagels. No asiago, no cheddar, no provolone! I would go again just because there are no other bagel options, but compared to deli’s and bagel shops that I am used to, this place is mediocre.

This place was great in my experience. It is most certainly a popular breakfast spot for the local, Mountain Brook folks. We had an everything bagel with bacon egg and cheese, a cheddar sausage biscuit, and a cranberry walnut type muffin. They were all very good, and I would order any of them again. You can expect as little line that might lead outside. You just order inside immediately to the left with the folks working the grill, stations, etc. Then go on ahead down the case of baked goods to pay. You’ll wait for you food to be called out by the person that took your order. It’s a cool atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

I chose to get the egg bowl today, and it was pretty good. For some reason I find the counter service hard to navigate: who takes my order? How do I pay? Will they tell me when the order is ready? Where should I stand while I wait? Once you get those items figured out, bagels are excellent and so is the signature roast coffee.

Delightful spot and delicious bagels! I came in early one morning(about 7am) to find a cheery crowd more than happy to help me out as a first time customer. In the middle of asking for a recommendation, I spotted the whole wheat everything bagel and ordered it toasted with veggie cream cheese. It was an absolute treat. I had tried their salted chocolate granola as a part of a holiday gift basket — very unique and agian, an absolute treat. That was part of what encouraged me to go out of my way to test out the bagel shop and I am certainly glad that I did. Although I don’t frequently go out for breakfast, I’ll choose Crestline above any other spot in town when I do. Great food, great service, and a fun atmosphere.

I’m a New Yorker. This is Alabama. These are good bagels. Definitely try the whole wheat everything bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese. Great coffee here, too.

Having lived in NYC and Washington DC I’m am quite the bagel aficionado. I thought for sure the Cheasepeak Bay Bagel clone was going to fit the ticket and it did. I wouldn’t go out of my way to have a bagel here… I would however go again.

After moving to Alabama from NYC, I was a firm skeptic when it came to bagels. I was convinced you couldn’t get a good one anywhere else. Crestline Bagel proved me wrong. These bagels are absolutely fantastic! They offer many great varieties and flavors of bagels and cream cheese, along with bagel sandwiches. Very reminiscent of my old bagel joint.

Has the best bagels in town. The only bagel shop that actually makes its bagels from scratch. They have a variety of great food and a fantastic lunch menu.
