Brunswick Zone Riverview Bowl

Just went here Saturday with my husband and a friend and had a great time! Place was clean, everyone who worked there that we talked to was really friendly and the food and drinks were delicious. Only problem we had was with a groupon we planned to use for our time. Had bought it that Wednesday and when we came in Saturday they said they were no longer offering that deal even though the groupon was good for another 120 days I believe and they were still selling the deal on groupon. Other than that we still had a great time, just cost us more than we planned.

Bartender closed up shop way early. Bought drinks and left tips all night and was assured by bartender that the bar would be open until at least 11:45. Showed up at the bar about 11:40 to get last round and the bar was closed. We asked to talk to bartender and he met our questions with an attitude. If your wanting to get drinks while bowling DO NOT go to brunswick, instead head to Vestavia bowl, they are much more accommodating.

Good place to bowl. The floor condition better than vestavia although it’s more expensive than vestavia.

Best place to bowl in the Birmingham area. They have «Buck & Bowl» $ 1 games a couple times a week (Tues and Wed I believe), and if you sign up for the Brunswick Bonus Zone emails you get some great coupons. This visit was on a Saturday night around 8:30 PM and surprisingly there were a bunch of lanes available so we got right in with our group of 5. The cashier recommended we do a family/​party deal which was 2 hours of unlimited bowling, shoe rental, and a pitcher of Coke. Regular price would have been $ 60 or so, but we pulled up a Bonus Zone email that got us the same deal for $ 30!!! Can’t beat that.

Had a great time bowling with friends recently – wish we had thought through how much it would cost individually vs. getting family package, it would have priced out better! Cosmic bowling is fun and I’m so grateful that this establishment does not allow smoking! Only disappointment is that they no longer carry the beer that I enjoy getting there – Andygator! Bring it back, please!

Brunswick is a fantastic place to do the bowling gig on a Saturday night. The staff’s extra friendly and treats the lane patrons (teens and us old peeps) well. The entire place is kept extremely clean and the clientele seems to stay respectful of each other. The prices are very reasonable — some friends, my wife and I (six of us total) got to play 2 hours for about 70 bucks total, including a pitcher of soda and shoe rentals, during the typical weekend Cosmic Bowl (lights turned off, black lights on the lanes, wide variety of music blaring [country, rock, hip-​hop, pop]). The Hoover police occasionally do rounds to make sure things are calm and cool, but I’ve been several times and have yet to see any issues that would require security to step in and put the smackdown on some unruly drunk.
Totally worth it — check it out, the price is right.
