This park is poorly maintained. It turns into a mud pit when it rains. Considering you have to pay to get in it is definitely a poor value.

I was really disappointed after spending money to join this dog park. I initially thought the cost to join would be positive, by weeding out careless owners, as well as maintaining the grounds. Unfortunately, it seemed to attract a very uptight and unfriendly crowd. My first visit entailed stories from members about the«bad» dogs that misbehave. Gossip central. My second visit was even worse when an older gentleman, owner of a 10 year old dog w arthritis, was offended that my puppy wanted to play off leash. I respected them for a 30 min., keeping my pup on a leash & allowing him the opportunity to leave. He remained, so I again let my dog off leash. My dog & I then had to endure the wrath of this man as he screamed at my dog to «get away». During the same visit, a woman with a small dog was so worried that she ran around snatching the dog up every time my dog approached. Really? I must add that my dog is well trained, socialized and less than 50 lbs. This is the ONLY park in all of Birmingham that even allows dogs to be present, let alone play off leash! As a Birmingham resident I’m so disappointed I do not have a fun, safe place for my dogs to play. I will not return. The members of this doggie country club need to relax & let dogs be dogs!

bring your dog and let them run around. Its nice to meet fellow dog lovers and chat while the kids play.

This dog park puts the Royal Oak dog park to shame! This is a great, safe place to take your dog. The forest is wonderful — lots of areas to drain your pups energy!
