I have been a patient of Dr. Michael Shaw for years. He delivered my son (healthy despite complications) in January 2015. The office is busy, but well organized, efficient, clean, knowledgable, and professional. I never feel like a «number», and the nurses remember me when I visit. I’ve never been the victim of «moral judgement» as the 2010 reviewer claimed. I will never go to another OB/​GYN in the area– I drive an hour to see this office and it is well worth the time investment!

It is absolutely not true that you can’t get birth control here. A few years ago, I took my 16 year old daughter here to get birth control when I found out that she had become sexually active. I have been seeing Dr. Bishop there for almost 9 years. I had a IUD inserted there twice. They are great doctors and the office has also been very helpful on every occasion. This practice is not associated with Lourdes hospital, they just rent space in Lourdes Tower, so they are not held to the catholic standards. I am catholic by the way.

Before going here, any woman should know that Lourdes is a Catholic hospital, which means that your health care will be served with a side of moral judgment. You cannot get birth control here. You will asked if you’re married. If you’re not, they will ask why you need a pap smear and why you’re sexually active. I am 28 now, and I still regret allowing these people to put their hands on me when I was 18.

These men and women ROCK as far as OB/​GYN goes. Warm, receptive, kind, gentle, etc. When they believed I had been suffering for 15 years with endometriosis Dr. Kondrup performed an outpatient laparoscopy and I was on my feet by the end of the day and the endo was gone. My GYN is fantastic, and I’ve never felt so confident in an OB/​GYN environment!
