UPDATE: They removed the tip from the order and gave a $ 15 discount for the inconvenience. Dave, the man I spoke to, was much more respectful and understanding. Not sure if I’ll use the service again in the future, but it’s possible. The order takes awhile to complete, but that’s alright you can always order ahead. The first time I used this service it was fine, order arrived on time. The second time I used this service it was an hour long wait(which they told us), a text told us that the food was on it’s way, we waited an hour after that. I was getting texts the whole time from the people mind you. They said they called the phone number listed, and in fact they did call my wife’s cell phone. The texts were going to my cell phone so I know they had both numbers. When I called the restaurant we ordered from, they said they would call these people and ask what was happening. The owner of the delivery service calls and I ask what is happening to our order. She tells me that the driver came out, said our house was an empty lot(apparently didn’t check any other house), never bothered to knock on a door, then left with our food about 40 mins before and that they would drive back out to us. Mind you… the food had been sitting in the car for an hour. We even had ice cream as part of the order and would have melted, the food would have been cold, etc. So I called her back up and asked how we could be compensated for the meal. She said that the food would be delivered and it wasn’t their fault. I told her that we live in a large house, cars in the driveway, clearly not an empty lot, and that no one came to the door. She was going to HANGUPONME just to get rid of me. At that point I was losing my cool and asked for a full refund and they could return the food. She said she would have to talk to the restaurant owner because the food had already been made. Fifteen minutes later I get a message on my phone that my card has been charged and the services rendered. INCLUDINGTHETIPFORTHEMDOINGNOTHING! The food was later delivered by the restaurant manager himself and not the food delivery service I paid for. I asked that the tip would be removed because the delivery person never came(I tipped the manager with cash and told him to give it to his employees if he could not accept it). All around bad business practice from these folks. Thanks to the other guys we finally got our food three hours later.

Second time I use the food delivery services. They have a very simple interface on their website to place your order with exact details. Great for personal orders or even group orders where you can specify what each person wants. Of course the wait time is a bit longer than usual, but that’s normal being that the order has to be places, cooked, picked up and then delivered to you. The best part are the notifications, I love the fact that they let you know when each phase of the order has been completed.
