I’m very leary about calling service company’s after being hosed by everyone I’ve hired since the Hurricane. After calling one business that just wanted to sell me a service contract I called North Bay to come check my outside unit. I spoke with the owner and told him my problem wasn’t urgent but I wanted to have it checked before the weather got warm. The owner informed me that he had a tech in the area and would have him drop by when he finished, no kidding! After a short wait the tech called to say he was heading our way. Now since I do alot of my own preventive maintenence I pretty much know my way around A/C units I just don’t have the freon or manifold gauges. The tech who showed up was professional and knowledgeable, I watched him use his thermocouple on the suction line which I hardly ever see techs do and is the correct way to check a unit in my opinion. The tech added only a half pound of freon and pointed out some areas that needed attention for which I was greatfull for. I have no regrets calling this company and thought the bill was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to either use them again or recommend them.
