Lowe’s Home Improvement

Lowe’s customer service is HORRIBLE! It’s near impossible to find someone to help you in almost every department! (There are some exceptions which I will list later). There have been times when I have been standing in the department waiting forever, so I actually call Lowe’s and ask them to send somebody back to whatever department I’m in to help me. Half the time when the person gets there they tell me they don’t work in that department so are unable to answer most of my questions. I highly recommend Ace Hardware over Lowes any day. Ace Hardware actually sends their employees to yearly conferences to learn more about their department and keep up on trends.
Back to Lowe’s, the exceptions are Justin who is the manager in the lumber department. Can’t remember his name so forgive the description but the tall guy with one arm who works in plumbing is very knowledgeable and friendly. And there always seems to be somebody in the power tools department. Michelle and the guy with the longer dark hair in flooring both know their stuff pretty darn well. The only complaint here is I’m pretty sure that they get commission on installs that they set up because if you’re just buying product they’re helpful that but the minute you mentioned that you want to have it installed it becomes a sales pitch. The customer service counter is a hit and miss, flip a coin and you might get lucky enough to talk to somebody who knows something.

Over the past two years the service at lowes has suffered greatly. This used to be our go to place. Not any more. The employees are made up of mostly smart asses who could care less that you need help. Yesterday we went there for paint and stood at the counter for a little over 15 mins. We had asked twice that someone be sent to mix the paint. No one came. We finally left the store after stopping by the service desk to tell them that no one came and we were going across the street. They did not seem surprised and just nodded. I sure wish we’d get a Menards, I’d never go to either Lowes or HD again. I hate that place.

It’s always a back and forth between Lowe’s and home depot. If one doesn’t have it the other will their prices vary between both stores. Did get a great deal on a washer dryer and it was about 100.00 cheaper on both and free delivery
