Had the Korean Noodle Salad tonight — absolutely scrumptious! Have never had anything there that wasn’t just amazing!

Great food last night. Too bad the waitress didn’t bring back my ½ rack of ribs to go, and we left without them.

The downtown Jake’s popularity made sense that one would move to the Westend. However, like many cases the new restaurant is not nearly as good as the original. After having two meals at the restaurant I can say it is very average. The interior is very nice, the service I have had has been very good, but the food just isn’t all that good. Most recently I had the Korean tacos, and the beef was tough and flavor underwhelming. If the food stood alone I would have given it two stars, but taking everything into account I will let it squeak in with three stars. If given the choice, I would likely pick a different place to eat.

Came on a Saturday. The employee’s were over 5 minutes late opening the doors. Once in it took another 10 minutes for them to get set up. They definitely didn’t want to work their shifts, energy was bad as it just makes ya feel like you shouldn’t be there. 2÷20÷1612:30pm. Food is good as alway.

The fries were good and the waitress was nice enough. We had items missing from our plates, and no straws after asking several times. Ordered a caesar and there was wasabi in it. I have never had that happen and do not like wasabi so I asked to switch my drink to a Stella and was served a domestic beer in a Stella glass. Not impressed. Also this restaurant is not very kid friendly. There is no kid menu or changing table.

One of the better establishments in Billings Montana. The bartender, a young female was very attentive and provided excellent service. I ordered a steak and it was perfectly prepared. The bar and restaurant were busy and the décor of the restaurant was very nice. Definitely a place I will re-visit when I come back to Billings.

I had the Korean noodle. It was good portion but it would have been good without the noodle. Also I had the coconut shrimp, big pieces and the sauce was very good.

They sat me down and then ignored me for 15min. I just left. I was also surprised that their lunch menu is completely different from the diner menu.

I was in town for work and stayed at one of the nearby hotels. I came here because the front desk said it was good and that I could walk there. I sat at the bar and had a nice glass of wine and one of the best salads I have ever had. I ordered the steak salad. It was very fresh ingrediants, not drenched in dressing(which was delicious), and the steak on the salad was absolutely what you would expect in a Montana steak house. Tender, cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. i will definitely come back!

Visiting in town and wanted to catch the baseball game and have a few brews. Was heading down toward another place and passed Jack’s and decided to stop. Great atmosphere and the bar is fantastic. As my usual I ordered wings and they were great. Nice breading and the sauce was perfect. The service was excellent. Each person I saw had a smile on their face and treated me as if I were the only customer in the place. I’m here for one more night and will be back again. By the way, if your looking for great service, find out if Mo is there and what section she is working. She’s good at what she does!

The service was fine, the food just was not good. I got the chicken ala jake and maybe it’s just combination but it was not good! Nice atmosphere, just don’t expect great food and flavors

It’s very nice inside, we like the seating. The food is pretty average. The burger was not good, they use shredded lettuce which is gross. And not much flavor at all in the burger. Just boring. The shrimp tacos were tasty but they burnt the tortilla. I was scraping off as much of the burnt black part as I could but it still tasted burnt. The French dip was tasty. The drinks were good and happy hour prices. The server was sweet but forgot our drinks.

A $ 70 tab worth half the price. The atmosphere was nice but the meal was below average. If you are interested in what their meals taste like then go to Applebees and double the price of your tab. Won’t be going back

Ok — I like the ambiance of this place but I really wasn’t sure whether to give it 2 or 3 stars based on my most recent dining experience. I landed on 3 stars because of past more positive dining experiences. I had a breaded chicken dish that was yucky — tasteless, kind of fatty — and one half of it was inedible and chewy. The server(who was lovely on all other points) recommended the rice pilaf which, frankly, tasted like what I imagine Uncle Bens stove top must be like. My salad was nice, a lovely Cilantro Lime dressing(but way too much of it). I didn’t have dessert. Normally I would have sent back my meal because of the above but I was there on business and the situation did not allow for it. Everything else was clean and the serving staff was helpful and attentive.

I got the big montana steak salad and it was absolutely delicious. My steak was a little sinewy but it was still good. I loved the fried blue cheese patty. The bartenders were very nice and friendly even if the food took a little longer than usual to come out. I ordered the chocolate martini for dessert and would 100% recommend it.

I ordered the Cowboy Burger, which is supposed to come with barbecue sauce. Instead it came with mayo, pickles, and tomatoes. I brought this to the attention of the waitress and she didn’t seem terribly concerned so I asked for a side of the barbecue sauce. She promptly forgot about the sauce and I had to remind her about it, I again confirmed that the sandwich was supposed to come with it and she offered a «well shucks, I don’t know what happened» apology. The burger would have been pretty good if it came right the first time but my friend’s nachos were pretty much a plate of cheese and for the prices I expect a much better experience and maybe an offer to make up for the mistake on my burger. Also my friend was charged $ 15.50 for a weak double Basil Hayden and water which is quite frankly a ridiculous price for a $ 40 bourbon in Billings, Montana.

Great place was really surprised. The place at one pm on a Saturday people waiting to get in. Yeah little spendy until you see the quality and quantity. I had the knife and fork nachos. It was major size and great. So yeah fun night out, place to go have fun both are found here

What did I like about Jake’s? My favorite parts were the tile floors and décor. It also has a vibe of being«the place» to be, nice, and cool. The food was also cooked properly, which is nice, and the wait staff was solid. Then we were seated and began to peruse the menu. It was unfortunate that we could barely see the words on the menu to make out the dishes or wine selection because it was so very dark(and that is not an exaggeration — we literally could not read the wine menu and had great difficulty making out the selections on the food menu). The wait staff was nice. Our waitress helped us figure out what to order, bless her heart. Unfortunately Jake’s seems to have a hard time making anything on their menu without smothering it in some kind of cream or incorporating cheese, and adding bread or pasta. So, if you care about your health at all, you will have a tough time finding something that will work. If you don’t, you may just love this place. But, hey, it’s Jake’s. It’s got to be good because everyone seems to love it. So, if the food rocks, who cares about health. After starting with the house super-sour-sourdough, we went with the mussels steamed in Cajun spices — that sounded nice and light. Not so fast — the beautifully cooked mussels were drowned in(yummy) heavy cream sauce and served atop pasta. A great idea, but remember, this was the LIGHTEST option we could find. I don’t expect the whole menu to read«healthy crazy people eat here,» but I like a restaurant, especially a nice restaurant, to have SOME options for health conscious outcasts like us. We also had the steak salad with fried blue cheese, avocados, and grapefruit, which was fine. The dressing was sweet, the steak was extremely salty(although cooked wonderfully), and we couldn’t see the food, so when I thought I was going to put a tomato in my mouth, I was surprised by a burst of grapefruit citrus when I bit into it. Several times I thought I was about to take a bite of steak, but got a piece of the fried blue cheese crust instead. The dish tasted good, but it made it less enjoyable to have to try to guess what we were eating. For the high prices Jake’s charges, I would prefer to enjoy my food first with my eyes, but instead got a «dining in the dark» experience.(Maybe they could advertise it as such, then people would expect it). The good news: I didn’t cry while I was eating like I did a year ago when, as a total newbie to Montana, I tried Jake’s downtown. Thanks again to the wait staff, and kudos to the designers; you are the stars at Jake’s.

Jake’s is always a great spot if you are in Billings… always a fun and happening place! The Lamb shank is awesome and so are the Korean tacos!!!
