This is a neighborhood café that the locals know about and flock to. It has closed for a remodel and upgrade of vision and service. I love Joanie(owner) and the menu. Should open back up in April of 2016 better than ever!

The menu is great here, the food is wonderful. Guests need to order at the counter and then the service help will bring it to your table. Food/menu offers great flavors,

Went for breakfast today with my daughter. Can’t believe it was our first time, but it won’t be our last. We split the Jethro egg dish. Delicious and would order it again in a heartbeat, if not for a desire to try the other Saturday breakfast dishes. Also shared a Carmel roll which was to die for. My cappuccino was also perfect. What a wonderful experience.

Came for lunch at 1:10 to miss the lunch crowd. Ordered 2 paninis. Took forever(well over 20 minutes) to get food. Food is good, but don’t come if you are on a time crunch!

Love the atmosphere of Harper & Madison, and a great location in the pretty neighborhood near the hospitals. Located in the former co-op market, Harper & Madison is great for a bite to eat or coffee. I love their salads, especially the California salad w/o cheese. I wouldn’t recommend coming for breakfast, as the choices are dismal outside of quiche or croissants. They’re best known for their baked goods, which I haven’t had, but they look yummy. Personally, I would only come here for lunch. I can’t speak to their Wi-Fi…as I haven’t used it. Wish they had more flexible hours(stay open later), and had better seating. I envision bar style stool seating by the windows, offering more casual and flexible seating for solo diners. The bar style seats by the bathroom and kitchen are kind of awkward, as are the hodge podge of tables. Replacing the shelves that house inventory nobody seems to take notice to with farm-to-table style tables would be awesome. Would love to see more of a breakfast menu and more selection of herbal teas. But I do adore this place.

Breakfast menu is ONLY served on Saturdays. A small bowl of fruit was $ 4.50. They did have pastries and coffee. Too bad the breakfast menu issue this isn’t posted anywhere. :/

Saturdays only: the omelettes are amazing. The coffee(from Revel) is excellent. Lunch any day: Cobb salad is epic, huge, and also v large. Tastes as one would expect: quite good.

Their hot breakfasts on Saturdays are the best. I love their sausage gravy — best I’ve ever had. The earlier you go, the better chance of getting a table, cause it’s busy Saturday mornings. And get the Jethro. You’re welcome.

Stopped in for quick lunch a few months ago and it was very quick and very delicious. Great sandwiches with great ingredients and a nice combination of ingredients in their salads. The real star, hands down, is the triple chocolate mousse cake. It was AMAZING. Sweet and delicious without being too sweet or too rich. You need to eat this cake!

Unfortunately H&M has gone downhill. I had hoped it was a temporary thing but it has proven to be more long term. They used to have passion that you could taste in their food. Now the cake slices are tiny the price is still high and there are chunks of what appears to be crisco in them. It seems like maybe they are just burnt out. Hopefully they will turn it around.

More of a coffee spot for some of the neighborhood moms then a breakfast spot. Don’t go hungry because you will leave hungry. The hot chocolate I got was excellent though.

As the frenzied legions of fast food restaurants swarm Billings’ main corridors, one place serves as a smug beacon to the hearty disciples of flavor and freshness. Nestled nonchalantly in the midst of a Billings residential neighborhood lies a true culinary treasure. It goes by the name Harper and Madison. Like a four leaf clover, this place is hard to find. But once discovered, it brings happiness and good tidings. I entered the quaint café and found myself standing in an enclave of epicurean delight. The aroma of freshly made espresso danced in the air. Knife-wielding chefs julienned fresh carrots and cleaved quivering green leaves of lettuce. I ordered the house salad. A few minutes later, a heaping pile of salad coronated with squiggly white noodles appeared. The tiny half-moons of mandarin orange added a summery citrus twang to the salad. I added goat cheese too. Everything is better with a little churned goat’s milk on top. For dessert, I indulged in a honey almond bar. The best way I can describe it is to say it was a pillow of fluffed honey meringue on a bed of crushed almonds. Yum. The fact that this plaza of lunchtime perfection is located in Billings makes it all the more impressive. Eat here, and your taste buds will embark on a wonderful odyssey.

Fantastic food, pretty good service. I wish they had their full breakfast menu all week but then it may not be as special. I have yet to have something here that wasn’t really good. The burrito is great. We had these pancakes a couple times that had a very unique flair that was amazing. I believe they were lemon apple pancakes with a lemon basil butter. And as always, they often brew Revel Coffee which I love. This is a must try if you have not been here yet.

I had read some great reviews about Harper and Madison and wanted to try lunch here one day while in town, however it didn’t seem to work out so I managed to stop by to grab a quick snack before heading to the office. I arrived shortly after lunch and decided to try one of their lemon bar, it looked so delicious sitting in the display case I knew I had to try it. Well that was much easier said than done, despite it being clearly visible directly in front of me, it took nearly 15 minutes after I paid for someone to retrieve my order. Seriously a disappointment, however the taste made of for their slow service, the Lemon Bar was amazing and full of flavor. If I am ever back in Billings, I plan on checking this place out again.
