You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both, and there you have. the Burlington Coat Factory’s Baby Depot. The overall selection of items was solid, though you definitely have to hunt and keep in mind what competitors charge. Sometimes, you’re getting a solid deal. Sometimes, not so much. Take, for example, a Bumbo seat. They were priced at $ 38.99 in Target, $ 39.99 in BCF, and $ 29.99 in BJ’s.(Guess where I bought mine?) On the other hand, we snagged a really solid crib for $ 159.(Score!) The variety of items they have is rather impressive — from baby clothes and furniture to feeding implements, strollers, car seats, bedding, toys, mini-gyms, bassinets, potty training apparatus, and(drum roll) a teddy bear that plays«womb sounds» and is supposed to be soothing to a newborn. ^_^ I found their customer service to be rather slow and disorganized.(You get what you pay for, I suppose). Yet, if you’re wiling to be a little patient, it’s worth snagging a good deal on the bigger ticket items. Tip: Some of the pieces of furniture(cribs, in particular) are very reasonably priced when on sale. In some cases, these items are discontinued and no others(save for the floor model) are in stock. If you’re okay with buying a floor model crib, be sure to arrive with tools(an Allen wrench, above all) and a vehicle large enough to cart the furniture back home. Tip(Part Deux): Learning from our own experience, if you don’t have an Allen wrench to disassemble floor model furniture, the Dollar Tree next door sells a pocket-sized Allen wrench with 6 different sized wrenches. ;-)
