The atmosphere is always cozy and comfortable, the food is always well prepared and artfully presented. As of my last visit they did not have a liquor license, so you need to BOW/B, but the flexibility and creativity that it allows actually adds to the experience. We have traveled from out of the area to visit twice, and will continue to do so.

I brought a group in for dinner tonight. The restaurant was open but with only one table. The staff told us they could not accommodate us without a reservation. Someone with more authority came up to the door(owner/manager?) looked at the reservation, made two adjustments and we were seated. Our server treated us like she wasn’t into us being there.(There were open tables the entire time we were there) I ordered the grazing board. It was good, but let’s face it, all of these items are brought in and served. This appetizer could not be used as an example of their culinary skills. My dinner was the Low Country Boil. The broth was nice, and the presentation was well thought out. However, the shrimp was so over cooked that the shells stuck and the clams and mussels were dried out. One thing that impressed me… This dish was so over cooked that the sausage was dried out. The server removed this dish from my bill. One of my colleagues also ordered the same and his was of the same quality. The manager/owner never even came by to speak with me about the dish which I found odd. This restaurant is filling the niche of an fine-casual dining experience and while some of its menu could be considered as such, they still serve some basic pub food items. I probably won’t be back, when I’m in the area.

If you’d like to experience the best pizza you’ll ever have, GOHERENOW! We live in DC& have tried many places there + we’ve had pizza in lots & lots of places in Italy from Florence & Naples to Rome & Venice, but none of them have served anything better than the meat pizza we had at Fidler’s today. The secret is that they use the dough they use for baguettes. Superb! The patty melt special was terrific as well. On top of the food, the service is first rate, too. Maria is a lovely young woman with a beautiful smile & caring demeanor. Mitchell is wonderful as well – very attentive & takes his work very seriously & with good humor. As I said above, get off Unilocal &GOHERENOW!

Stopped in last evening to grab a pizza to go. The pizza was perfectly baked. Upscale menu for such a small pa town. Nice inside but casual.

If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth it to drive to Fidler & Co. My fiancé’ and I had our engagement dinner here and Josh prepared an absolutely amazing meal for us. I’m still dreaming of the blueberry dessert. The service and attention to detail were superb. Josh helped make our evening incredibly special, and we’ll always be indebted. We’ll come back every time we’re in Gettysburg.

I really like this place. I hate to give it a less than perfect review, but we had a less than perfect dinner experience on Friday. I’d give it 2.5 stars if Unilocal let you do halves. We typically come for brunch or lunch and have never been disappointed. However, for dinner the casual atmosphere and service really do not match the very high price point. Many of the leather chairs are ripped/peeling, the tables are all uneven, and there really is no ambience to speak of in the front room. I’ve never been in the back room, it does look darker and maybe warmer than the front. Started with the grazing board, it was adequate but I noticed others ordering the same thing and each board had a different blend of accoutrements on it, and in different proportions. We had 4 slices of flat bread, beer jam, and mustard. Others had apple slices and more flat bread in addition to these. Maybe larger tables get larger sides, but the price was the same so would expect the product to be uniform. In this same vein, some tables with water had straws and lemon slices, we had just water. Am I being picky? I am. But as a diner spending ~$ 45/person I have certain expectations. Consistency is one of them.
They had 2 specials, a swordfish and a duck breast. I rarely order duck out because I prepare it often at home, but we had a beautiful bottle of Virginia Cab Franc and I wanted some duck to go with it. My husband ordered the«pork and beans». Our server delivered the entrees and placed the swordfish special in front of me. I stated I had the duck. She took the swordfish, left my husband’s entrée, and came back in 5 minutes with a duck. Hmmm…could immediately see that the meat was a nice medium rare, but the fat was barely rendered and had only the slightest golden color on the outside. The fat should be completely rendered out and very crispy. As my husband’s dish had already been sitting there for 5 minutes I just dug in. The duck was incredibly chewy and the fat(the best part!) completely inedible. I should have sent it back. But it would take at least an additional 20 minutes to properly cook a new duck breast and frankly I was hungry. I ate the edible bits and enjoyed the bits of duck confit that were in the side cassoulet dish. The broccolini was very lackluster, limp and unseasoned. So I’m not sure if it was an order mixup or just an improperly cooked duck breast but it was really disappointing, especially at $ 24. My husband greatly enjoyed his«pork and beans», the pork shoulder was very moist and tender. His sides needed seasoning but he enjoyed them. I was still hungry so had dessert, the carrot cheese cake was excellent. Husband had the chocolate lava cake which was ok, it was saved by the vanilla ice cream because the cake was very dry. Overall, will definitely return for brunch and/or lunch. If we return for dinner I will stick with the small plates and leave the exotic proteins for home.

Was in Gettysburg for soccer tournament. We really wanted the lunch menu, but had to settle for the brunch menu. Place is very quaint and the menus look really good! The eggs Benedict were cooked perfect. The eggs were over nice ham and artisan bread. Also had a frittata that was cooked perfectly. If you are in the Gettysburg area I recommend stopping in.

I ordered the beet salad with goat cheese, orange, etc. When it arrived, I could not find any beets. I asked the server if this was the beet salad. He said it was and pointed to an orange slice and said it was a beet. I assured him it was not a beet, but an orange. He said some beets are orange. After stabbing the orange with my fork, he acknowledged that it was, indeed, an orange. He then pointed to something which resembled a white sliver of bok choi and tried to convince me that it was a beet. After convincing him it, too, was not a beet, I suggested that he speak to the food preparer. After about 5 minutes, the waiter brought me a bowl of beets, stating«apparently the beets never made it to the salad. The food was very good.

We had an excellent experience at Fidler & Co. on our first visit. We’d heard about it from a friend and the website is fetching, so we made the 35 minute drive. It was well worth it. I tend to prefer sitting at the bar in good restaurants, but Fidler & Co. is BYO, and I admit I was a bit apprehensive about what the dining area would be like. It is small, and was full and getting fuller, but I didn’t feel terrible hemmed in — and our service was immediately and continuously good. But most of all, the food was impeccably presented and absolutely delicious. Every single bite of each item we ordered was phenomenal. I rarely order dessert, but have a hard time saying no to crème brûlée…theirs may be the best I’ve ever had. The pizzas looked delicious — we’ll be back to try them, and for brunch. We’ll return often!

Absolutely Fantastic! We came intending to have wood fired pizza, recommendation from a neighbor. After reading the menu and seeing the beautifully prepared food coming from the kitchen we totally changed our minds and decided to try multiple items from the menu. It was so difficult to make up our minds. We ended up with raw and smoked oysters, both delicious, artfully prepared and presented. My hubby had filet — medium rare with pureed potatoes, carrots, bleu cheese and demi. He ate every bit and would have licked the plate if he could. I had a small Duck salad with manchego, fig, pine nuts and plum vin, followed with smoked steak tartare, both were to die for, unbelievably delicious. Finished with desert and coffee. Met an extremely nice couple sitting at the next table, struck up a conversation and now making plans to meet again. Mitchell our waiter was outstanding, very attentive and helpful. Will always ask for him when we return. Definitely going back, I am sure multiple times. Have to get the pizza and the brunch menu looks really good. Got to make sure to BYOB, taking wine or beer with us next time!

Stopped in for dinner. The wait staff is attentive and the food is excellent. There are plenty of options for vegetarians and they have a brick oven which makes for excellent pizza. The chocolate chip lava cake served with vanilla ice cream was a great way to finish it off. A great place to eat a short drive from Gettysburg, PA.

I am convinced that this is the best restaurant within a 50 mile radius. I am always driving here from Gettysburg. Thankfully they opened up a sister restaurant which is more of a sandwich shop in Gettysburg which is also excellent.

Here for a mid-week lunch. Everything was well prepared and the service was attentive. I recommend the house side salad: very fresh, with a tasty house dressing. Sandwich bread a treat, while coffer was excellent.

I am somewhere between 2 and 3 stars for this place, but since the waitstaff put up with our rather rowdy dinner party I’ll give it a 3. The food was okay. I have lived in the Philly and the DC area, so maybe I am a bit spoiled. For the area, this is probably a pretty decent place for a special occasion. The prices were a bit outrageous. The service was painfully slow. Improve that and it would be a solid ¾ stars.

My wife and I ate at Fiddler and Co. for the first time. Great food and friendly staff. The Chef served the food himself. We will be going back many times. The menu changes frequently. Locally grown meat and vegetables.
