Unfortunately this family does not care if they get your business or not. Their lack of customer service and genuine politeness was very apparent. If you are in search of some comfort food but don’t care where your dollars go, this is for you. If you want to support local businesses that truly appreciate you try somewhere else. I can’t emphasis enough how poor our experience was there. Don’t eat here.

Great idea for a restaurant but terrible owners that have poor attitudes. I am local and love to support the business’s but this is one I’m not going to support. There are many better restaurants in the valley. Save your frustrations and enjoy your time at a different place.

Honestly, I don’t know what all of the hype is about. I read all of the reviews and decided we needed to go check this place it out, especially since it’s practically right out our back door(strange location.) We made reservations, as recommended, and arrived a few minutes early. We were seated immediately, then sat for 15 minutes before ever being acknowledged. It was loud and the employees were running around like chickens with their heads cut off. The chef was pounding veal most of the evening, so between guest noise and kitchen noise, we could barely hear each other talk. Our server suggested their appetizer special and described it coming with bread. It came without bread, so by the time we were able to get our server’s attention we had eaten most of it. When we asked where the bread was, she said it was just coming out of the oven and she would bring it right out. Obviously, a little too late. Next, came our salad AND our entre together??? Our server said it was easier to just bring it all, otherwise we would be in for a very long wait? Really? We’re paying $ 30 an entre. You would think the kitchen could handle timing the entres a little better. And finally, coffee and dessert. No cream. I asked three times. Even got out of my seat and went up to what looked like the manager/owner and still didn’t get it. ARGGGG. On a good note, the food was excellent, but for their prices their service killed any plans of returning. Maybe an off night? Oh well.

My hubby took me to this awesome restaurant for my birthday and our anniversary. I love the large spaghetti noodles! My hubby ordered the special which was a steak… he cut it with his fork! Great place! Very nice owner. Atmosphere was really nice, quiet, and cozy.

This chef-owned restaurant is a five star dining experience and food. Period. From the Laura’s enthusiastic welcome and the warm rustic atmosphere to the large choice of appetizers, pastas, and other main courses, this is among the finest Italian restaurants across the globe(yes, including Italy, San Francisco, Los Angeles and NY). We sampled the gnocchi special and the Bruschetta al Pomodoro & Basilico and Bruschetta Napoletana as appetizers. Wow. We would order both again in a heart beat. The bread was the perfect base for the tasty toppings. In fact, my husband who is NOT a tomato lover declared that he may have just become a tomato lover after eating the marinated tomatoes on the Bruschetta al Pomodoro & Basilico. We had several other dishes including the Piccatina di Vitelli al Limone which was lemony, light, savory and delicious. My husband had the Filetto di manzo al Gorgonzola and raved about how perfectly cooked the steak was and loved the sauce. We are new to town and will be returning as soon as possible.

Food and service was heavenly. The dinner was as good as meals in Italy. We live 90 miles away, but plan to come back often and highly recommend it.

Treated like dirt from the moment we walked in. Death glares from both employees at the front. Instead of politely letting us know they were done seating for the night the hostess told me to look around. «Every table is full, but you can wait around until we close». What? Why would we do that. I wasn’t even sure what that meant, but she wasn’t explaining either. I’m sure the food’s good, but I would never go back. Enjoy it bigfork it’s all yours.

Stopped in without a reservation(mistake). They made room for us and asked that we be patient as they were VERY busy. Got us settled at a table with a WONDERFUL bottle of wine. What happened next was simply fabulous! We had a special burrata appetizer that was out if this world, then a pasta entrée and a steak entrée that were unbelievable. Lovely family owns and runs the whole place. Very personable and friendly. We felt like we were back in Italy! Pricey but worth every penny. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!

Lovely authentic food with a strong Italian ambience and vibe. Delicate but homey, it’s just fabulous. Fabrizio and Laura are extremely generous and hospitable. You will be treated like you are in their home. Don’t miss their tiramasu! Branch out and try something different. I’m sure there are dishes you’ve not heard of. Ciao!

I don’t know why one of the previous Unilocalers gave it one star, totally uncalled for. I made reservations the day before and took the 5:30 table. I don’t know why people have a hard time finding the place(this is why the world wide web has goggle maps). The 1⁄8 mile drive up the dirt road is dusty but not bad at all. We arrived right at 5:30 and seated within seconds. We were given water and menus within minutes, our waitress greeted us after 5 minutes and explained the menu and specials, and she was awesome, very knowledgeable and friendly. We ordered an appetizer that was one of the specials; it was basically a caprese with a different kind of cheese. It was Excellent. Our main entrees, fillet with a gorgonzola cheese and a pasta dish called pasta Laura, the fillet could be cut with a spoon, it was so tender. The pasta dish was very good but after tasting the fillet, I wish I got that. We did order dessert, tiramisu and a flathead cherry pie. I make the best tiramisu, and this was up there with mine, okay, maybe a little better. All in all this is an excellent place to dine, it is not the kind of place to shovel food down and leave but a place to take your time and enjoy what has been prepared for you. I think our bill was 120, which was one appetizer, two cocktails, two main entrees and two desserts, very reasonable.

I’m trying to think about the right words to describe this place… awesome is a great one! The staff was amazing, if you needed something they were on top of it right away. The family who owns it was so friendly, and the food was to die for. If I could rate this place 50 stars I would! Great place!

I loved this quant little restaurant tucked within Bigfork. Best kept secret as far as I’m concerned as it is very difficult to find a «consistent» good food restaurant in this area. The family owned business is both professional & friendly. The owner/chef comes to each table to ensure your experience is wonderful. Price & serving portion were awesome. There is obvious pride & worth it. Busy little place so call ahead. Enjoy

If you are visiting Big Fork, MT, the ONLY place to go for dinner is Moroldo’s. We just spent a week here, and while we went to ShowThyme, and Culinary Design Studio, this restaurant was the BEST by far. The food was fresh and unbelieveably wonderful, and the wait staff made us feel like we’d been going there for years. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone! Our only regret is that we did not discover it earlier in the week!!!

What a perfect experience! I grew up around Kalispell and Bigfork and returned for my Birthday Week. The owner of the Dreamcatcher Lodge Bed & Breakfast recommended Moroldo’s and I am absolutely thrilled that she did! Perhaps most importantly: BESTSTEAK I have ever eaten. I have lived in Los Angeles for 11 years and also lived in Texas. So, I’ve eaten some steak in my time. This was the absolute best. Hands-down. No steak knife required. As if that weren’t enough, the attention, warmth and hospitality of the family who own Morolodo’s was superb(Father, Mother AND Son). If I had any family left in Bigfork, I would recommend this place. Sadly, I don’t! But whenever I visit Kalispell or Bigfork, I’ll be sure to make Moroldo’s a priority. Five Stars.

I had read about this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. I thought the food was excellent authentic Italian. They were very accommodating as we had arrived at the restaurant when the kitchen was closed but they still allowed us to dine. The chef came out to greet us and asked what we were in the mood for. We started with a Burrata Caprese salad which was fresh and tasty. He made a special Chicken Marsala for us which we thought was excellent which we accompanied with an angel hair pasta with marinara sauce. We will certainly be returning.

Am I the best person to write a review for Moroldo’s? Probably not. But only because I have experienced perfection and I refuse to try anything else. Penne Gemelli — penne pasta, Sambuca, white grapes, shrimp, fresh tomatoes, zucchini, pine nuts, and cream. This is the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. I regularly go to this restaurant with 3 – 4 dining companions and we all order this meal. So my lack of adventure is not strictly my fault, by why would I order something else and longingly stare at my companions’ meals in jealousy wishing I had ordered that again? The pasta has a slightly sweet but fresh taste and is not heavy like Alfredo. The restaurant is tucked away in the trees and quite small, so reservations are a must. The atmosphere may turn you off a little as there’s pink walls, green chairs, and an «old» feel, but the wait staff is always friendly(consisting of the owner/cook, his wife, and one other). The food is made to order so takes a little longer to make, but well worth it. Overall I give this a 10⁄10 based on one meal alone.

Just look at all the reviews from people all over the country and world! Moroldo’s does a superb job here. They are a welcome addition to Bigfork. Fabrizio is amazing, one of the best chefs in the world in my opinion, but I’m partial. I have to say, that in general I don’t enjoy eating out Italian. Most places have food that I can make at home. So why bother. I always say, to white people Italian is exotic. Well, this Italian is genuine, authentic, and definitely exotic because as soon as you step foot into the restaurant you are transported to Italy. Sure, I’ve never been to Italy, but my mouth visits Italy every time I eat at Moroldo’s. I can’t get enough of the bruschetta, the balsamico is to die for, the tomatoes perfect. The burrata I think is an appetizer special and it’s so yummy. I can’t stand it. I would get like 4 appetizers, 3 entrees and 2 desserts every time I come. So, solution? Bring friends that like to share and make them order something different so you can try everything. The Pasta Laura was amazing. The Pasta Fabrizio equally wonderful. The beef tenderloins are hits here, I don’t care where they come from. The veal served multiple ways ranks right up there. There is nothing on this menu that wouldn’t be just wonderful for your mouth to have a little party for the night. Food is made from the heart, you can taste the care and concern that Fabrizio, the family and the staff put into the food. These guys are hardworking, friendly and customer oriented friends. They have regular local customers whom they treat excellently, and if you were new off the street, they would treat you the same – famiglia. The twins work in the restaurant too. Which makes you feel like you’re family too. Next, you must get the tiramisu. Or the limoncello sorbet, or the cherry pie, which I can never say, sorry Laura. Please say it for me. The presentation is beautiful, most of all because the food is beautiful. The colors, the smells, the vibrancy; it’s all projected into the tiny orifice in the middle of your face and makes you want to just want more and then close your eyes and transport yourself to Italy. Most ingredients are brought in from Italy, most of the supplies, and cooking gear was brought in from Italy. This is true Italian. It can’t get any better than this, unless you are at Fabrizio’s house in Italy. Someday. Order something in my honor when you go next, because I’m not sure when the next time I’ll be there again, and kiss mi famiglia, not once but twice. I love it when they do that.

Are we really in Montana? That is not meant, at all, to be a slight to the beautiful state of Montana, but a compliment for this really wonderful little spot. The food was truly better than many of the meals we had eaten during our trip to Italy last year. It’s sweet and almost cute that they throw in as many Italian words as they can while speaking to you(greeting, thank you, goodbye, etc). I thought it was such a treat to eat here! We highly recommend the pasta fabrizio. It was delicious, but so incredibly rich that it could probably work as a meal for two. I tried the linguini with mussels and clams and really enjoyed it(but I did end up packing up more of it and stealing more of my husband’s pasta). The prices are high(pastas average $ 18 – 20 per plate), but the portions are very generous. The bread at the start of the meal was really delightful, and many of their ingredients are imported from Italy. We ended our meal with the tiramisu, and although it wasn’t the best tiramisu we’ve had, it was pretty delicious. I would’ve loved to have tried the panna cotta, but I truly couldn’t find the space after such a heavy meal.
