Had a good time with friends here tonight. Drinks are decently strong and the waitress was very nice. Have not tried the food but had a good experience overall. Would love to come back again.

Horrible experience!!! First, we made reservations a month in advance for the midnight bowling, they lost our reservations and over booked the lanes. They crammed us on two lanes instead of three. Then, the waitress was incredibly rude to us. After bowling we were waiting for our ride and they kept yelling at us to leave even after they knew we were waiting for our ride. After all that the bartender accused one from our group threatening to punch in the face! WHAT!!! I think not! I will NEVER go back there again! I will tell everyone I know not to go there! To bad the Elk River Bowling is gone!

Stopped in 5:00pm Monday night with husband and son to have a casual dinner and drinks, but was told (by a little, reddish/​blonde haired mean bar lady) to leave because my 6 year old son couldn’t bring in his happy meal. So over a $ 4 kids meal they screwed themselves a $ 40 tab plus pull tabs. There were only 10 people in the bar — mostly over 70’s retired crowd.
There are other friendy, good restaurants in this town that have good food like Trails across Hwy 10. Bowling sucks here — go to River City in Monticello.

My girlfriend and I have visited McPete’s twice now, and still not very impressed. Don’t get me wrong, they have mini golf, bowling, volleyball, bags, and horseshoes! BUT… service both times was less than average. The menu is very basic, and food is relatively bland. Burgers taste like they’re frozen. Overall the atmosphere is really cool, but other than that I will go somewhere else to get something to eat or drink socially.

Food is good. The server could be nicer. It has the best miniature golf course around!
