I wanted to let you know that I’m disappointed with our new insulation… but in a good way. You see, I used to get up on the weekends to a cold floor and a drafty lower level. It really made me look forward to starting a fire in the fireplace and fully appreciating the warmth of the fire. Alas, no more! Even with the cold temperatures these past few days, there has been little need of a fire! The cat used to come sleep with us on cold nights — not because she particularly likes us, but because she wanted our body heat. She hasn’t come up by us since you were here. The basement, which used to have a difficult time staying above 60 degrees, has been holding steady at 70. The difference is noticeable throughout the house. Thank you! I am interested to see what our gas bill will be this month.
