U-Haul

Plan on being ripped off by these people! The only show in town means take advantage in their minds. I moved from Nor Cal to big bear a few days ago. The moving was difficult to do and we needed the truck for an extra day, the store manager said it would be fine. The truck was returned a couple of hours late after numerous phone calls with no returned call back to inform them. When she finally did call back the lady on the line was more than rude, they informed me that I would now be charged for 2 days late, a $ 40 cleaning fee, to sweep it out?! In the end, rude treatment from the employee, lies, and horrible customer service AND a $ 305 additional bill to my credit card! I couldn’t be more unhappy. Use a different service!

Okay, so I haven’t rented anything from this U-​Haul site, but I did rent a U-​Haul trailer down in the valley and use it to bring some bulky items up to my cabin. I planned on staying the night, and had a flash when I realized that if I could leave the trailer at a U-​Haul dealer overnight, I wouldn’t have to deal trying to park/​secure it at the cabin, where parking is close to impossible. One of the employees here, Christian, was great! He said, «Sure, no problem,» and disconnected the trailer from my truck and put it back into a secured, fenced area. I came back the next day, and boom! one of the employees helped me hook it back up. It really made things a lot easier for me, and I’m deeply appreciative. U-​Haul rental locations always seem a bit «folksy,» but this one is folksy in a *good* way, from my experience! Thanks, guys!
