We were visiting the area and had a birthday to celebrate. We made a quick stop here and lucked out that they keep a cookies and cream cake on hand(just one and we got it). It was amazing and it took everything in us not to buy everything in the little shop. Next trip I am coming in for a sticky bun! Yum!!!

I’ve waited way too long to review Sugar Pine! I had my wedding in Big Bear last July and I couldn’t have been more impressed and satisfied with the cake and deserts that they provided for us! We went with a cake, cupcakes and a few of their bars and everything was beyond delicious and everyone was talking about great it was. It was all visually beautiful as well! I changed my mind so many times on how I wanted the cake and the owner was so understanding and accommodating each time lol. Also, VERYAFFORDABLE!!! I was shocked at everything we got for that amazing price! Couldn’t be happier with them. So THANKYOU! Get your sweet fix and wedding fare here!

We make it a point to stop here every time we drive to Big Bear. They sell out early, so for the best selection go in the morning. Brownies, cupcakes, cinnamon rolls are just a few treats we’ve tried and loved.

Called and left a message and sent an email. Never got a response. Called and finally got someone. I wanted to order Crème Brulees which they do not do and is fine, but it was concerning that the person answering the phone didnt even know how to pronounce it. We were going to do a birthday cake through them, but I think we will PASS

Perfect special-order sugar cut-out cookies at Christmas-time. Very delicious, and so cute! The order was ready when promised, which goes a long way with me. I would recommend them to anyone.

Our family went here for an afternoon treat after seeing all the reviews on Unilocal.Got a few items including variety of cupcakes and brownies. The cupcakes were good with frosting that is not too sweet and cake that was moist and melts in your mouth. The brownies were overly too sweet for my taste, and too hard(Shut the Front Door brownie). The marshmallow brownie was also not as soft as I expected and the marshmallow on top of the brownie was hard and thick so it kept sticking to the top of the mouth and teeth… not a pleasant experience. The choices in Big Bear Lake are limited when it comes to bakeries but it’s best to stick to the cupcakes here and go for brownies elsewhere.

Craving mom and pop sweet treats while up at Big Bear? Sugar Pine has you covered Friday-Sunday. No Sprinkles? No problem! Sugar Pine Bake Shop has tons of cupcakes and more! You can get goodies such as Snickerdoodle Cupcakes, Thin Mint Cupcakes, Lemon Bars, Cinnamon Twists, S’mores Bars, Shut the Front Door Brownies, Blueberry Pies and the amazing Apple Strudel Pie. The bakery is small and can get packed if there’s a rush. Come early, because by late afternoon it’s slim pickins! You can also get coffee and milk here to even out all the that baked goodness in your system. Good to know there’s a place that you can get some real baked goods outside of the big supermarkets up here. Just remember, they aren’t open Monday-Thursday.

We were coming in a little bit late in the evening, so our selection was limited. Nonetheless, the desserts we purchased we good! A little over priced, but the desserts were delicious!

Fresh pastries. Unusual variety. Great tasting. You must stop here if you have a sweet tooth. The only downfall is they’re only open Friday-Sunday.

Wandered into this cute little shop while waiting for lunch at the place next door. I’m giving this place 5 stars for the service alone. The woman behind the counter, whom I assume was the owner, was pretty awesome. We chatted, we talked business(I own a non store front bakery), we reveled in our shared hatred for fondant, etc. I didn’t partake in the baked yumminess since they had no dairy free options, but sister did. She got one of their cinnamon rolls slathered in a cream cheese frosting which was she said pretty good. They’ve got lots of cupcake choices, different brownies, cinnamon rolls, and other baked up goodies sure to cure your sugar fix if you’re in the area.

Sticky buns were still warm which made that first bite even more delicious. Although the prices were a little high, I’m in a vacationers town so it was expected. Cofffee is self serve and the staff was smiling and friendly. We will be back.

Stopped by this cute shop on 2÷22÷15, which is in the same parking area at Aztec Grill Restaurant. The employee was very up front and asked if it was my first visit, to which I replied yes. She then told me they make everything from scratch. That is always awesome in my book. They had pecan buns, «shut the front door» brownies which looked like a layer of Oreo over brownie, cupcakes, cookies, muffins, and fresh breads. They run from $ 2.50-$ 4.00 each. My group opted for a whole pie for a friends birthday… It was apple streusel and it was SOFREAKINGAMAZING! For $ 15.00 it was better than any apple pie I’ve had at Marie Calendars. I think the only one that compares, but is entirely different, is the pies from Julian Pie Company. Despite us having a lot of food, snacks, and drinks for the weekend the pie was almost completely devoured. We had 1 – 2 slices(small ones at that!) the next day. The employee also said that the pie would sit 2 – 3 days without refrigeration and still be good.

Great bakeshop up in Big Bear. Fabulous bread and pastries. Truly made from scratch and baked with love. I’m very picky about baked goods and this place really«takes the cake!» Go early before they are out of your favorite. And check back often for new and specialty items.

Came back since the desserts were so good the last time! Prices are still the same. Lemon Bar — I love the lemony tartness. Lemon flavor shines and it was not overly sweet. The crust was strong but falls apart when you eat it. Thin Mint Cupcake — Chocolate cake was nice and soft. The mint frosting was creamy and minty. When you eat both together, reminds you of the thin mint cookie.

Onuts!!! Yep — get one! I went back for more the next day. Not a donut, baked, not glazed, drenched in butter and cinnamon/sugar, a hint of nutmeg, a little like a muffin only in a mini loaf shape. Onut — Oh how I love thee

We have an annual snowboard trip every year that just so happens to fall on my babies b-day! I was so happy to find Sugar Pine Bake Shop for his very 1st Bday celebration in Big Bear! Trish was such a delight to talk with over the phone. Her prices were extremely reasonable and she was able to squeeze me in with only a two week notice although I wouldn’t recommend procrastinating! I am looking forward to see the next Birthday cake masterpiece coming up soon!

Another review that’s long overdue, my wife purchased some cupcakes from this shop for my birthday last year. Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures of any of the cupcakes except the vanilla with chocolate — easily the most pedestrian of the bunch. The rest were surprisingly good. The snickerdoodle was my favorite. I loved the subtle sweetness of the icing, devoid of any graininess at all, with a cake center filled with cookie dough. The cookies and cream was rich and creamy with bits of cookie in the middle. The peanut butter cupcake had a moist chocolate cake base with a somewhat heavy peanut butter icing. And, finally there was the strawberry champagne cupcake. I enjoyed the pronounced strawberry flavor and the spongey cake. My wife may not use Unilocal often, but she found a good spot to get some bday treats.
