One Stop is pretty much my local packie and that’s it. Everything else there is way too overpriced, but it’s nice that it’s there in case of emergency! Brownie points because of liquor/beer/wine selection, price, and convenience. It’s 24 hours; the packie side isn’t, but the hours for that side are still as extended as is legal I believe. The guys are friendly, professional, always check ID even though I’ve been there a million times(which at first bothered me, but now I think it’s part of their professionalism), and keep chatting to a minimum while still being friendly. Bonus points: go in here on a Friday or Saturday night and experience CLUBONESTOP. Not bonus points: one time I asked these guys to hold something for me at the counter so my friend could come pick it up and it would already have been paid for. It was MAYBE going to be an hour. I get that can be a challenge, but they were SO rude about it I was flabbergasted. Like yelling at me rude. They haven’t been rude since but that definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Either way, I come here all the time. It’s a great go-to for booze, scratch tickets, and the occasional emergency milk run.

I’ve been coming here more often, now that I found out they’re one of the only places that sell that fruity anhueser busch made Wild Dog beer that I like. I’ve gone here several times and thought the place seemed nice enough. However, I now realize this is one weird place come weekend nights. We pulled in sat night and before we even shut off the car engine we could hear that techno band Aqua BLASTING even though our windows were all up.(and it wasn’t even that Barbie Girl song, so these guys must be true fans lol.) There was also a definite crackhead girl twitching out front. One of the guys behind the register was wearing casual hoodie nothing special, the other guy behind the counter was dressed to the nines in all black, fresh pressed suit and tie. They also have a tv monitor which runs a slideshow of some of their previous shoppers that i hope I’m never on. A lotta sketchy people on there… Anyways, despite the weirdos that go here and and the sleazy techno garbage they crank, I’ll still continue to go here cause they’re pretty normal in the daylight hours and even the crazy weekend stuff is more interesting than scary.

Gotta love these guys. They are quite… interesting. I will say they always remember you whether you go in a lot or a little. The prices are good too and they have a lot of stuff that you can’t get at other liquor stores so I keep going there.

No matter how infrequently I go here, all the guys behind the counter remember who I am and that makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. — Smiley Guy

If I’m shopping for booze, which 99.999% of the time I come in here I am, I prefer this One Stop to the one of Rantoul St, simply because it’s a much more spacious layout at this one. The prices are certainly higher than any large liquor store, but not so much higher that I’ll take the drive to Kappy’s if all I’m after is a bottle of triple sec or something. For a small store they offer a good selection of wines and most hard liquors. Be advised that the guys who run this place are sticklers for carding, and they routinely card every person in your party. I frequently see groups of people in here shopping for booze, who I’m not even sure are old enough to buy cigarettes, who undoubtedly are going to attempt the«hang back» or the«I’m still shopping» maneuver while the one 21 year old in their party goes to the register with enough liquor to start his own bar. Yeah, they’re on to that here, but it is entertaining to watch. Despite having been here numerous times, I still get carded every time I come in and even though I’m 30, they have a way of scrutinizing an ID and giving the suspicious eye that makes me feel like I’m newly 21 again and buying booze for underclassmen. I would have given them four stars, but one gets taken away for occasionally making me feel like a criminal.

There are 2 one stop markets in beverly. one is by beverly depot & the post office(rantoul street) and this one, which is across from Papa Ginos on Cabot st. If i remember correctly, both are open 24 hours a day. My first time in here was last week, besides the times i used to go here prior to its renovation. It is a large convenience store, that is always staffed by at least 3 people. There is a large wine/beer/liquor selection with good prices. They have a lot of stuff in the convenience store section of the building too.

The renovation of this convenience store is a big improvoement over the former place, but still leaves a LOT to be desired: 1. They leave their Christmas lights up all year long. 2. One of their Budweiser delivery trucks demolished a beautiful, large tree that stood in front of their store on Cabot Street . 3. They need to clean up their landscaping, refresh the mulch and replace dead plants with new ones. Any place that doesn’t take care of the outside of their business, doesn’t care about the commumunity or its customers.

I have no problems with this place. As a rule, I don’t believe in convenience stores, but I sure as heck believe in liquor stores, so I’ll only be reviewing One Stop Market as a liquor store. 1. It’s clean. 2. It has a decent selection. 3.It’s not as cheap as Kappy’s, but who is? 4. Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge(see point #3). 5. The staff is efficient and polite. My only squabble(besides their not having Kappy’s prices), is that the parking lot is a bugger to pull out of. I’ve recently been spending a lot of time on and around Cabot St. and man, you really take your life into your hands driving on, and pulling onto and off of that road! I almost got creamed pulling out of here last night(Don’t tell my partner-in-crime, as I was driving his car!).

The owner of the One Stop is a genious. I don’t know what his story is, but he knows how to make a buck or two off of Beverly people. One Stop Market has two locations– Cabot St. and Rantoul St.(One Stop II). One Stop II was actually the FIRST one stop, but they opened up the bigger Cabot St. location, which has become the headquarters. I frequent both locations for booze, cat food, slush puppies, and so much more! I am not a Keno player, but the owner set up a keno playing/scratch ticket scratching area. You can go in, buy a coffee and paper, and keno your life away. They even have a KENO tv in the window for those folks who can’t even smoke a butt without playing KENO! I am sure this business is doing well. I am very impressed with the Cabot St. location’s wine selection. They have everything from ELCHEAPO to ELNOTSOCHEAPO. Both locations also let you into the beer cooler for cases. I am always chatting it up with the staff there. They are extremely friendly and always offer the ladies a werthers. Some may find it sketchy, but I find it a kind gesture. I am not sure about the Cabot St. location, but the Rantoul St. one is open 24 hrs. It comes in handy for those late night ice cream cravings! five stars! hip hip hooray!
