Long overdue review. I’ve been going here since«Mama & Papa» came up here from Jersey, & opened this place, many years ago. There have been at least a couple of changes in ownership since then, but the pizza is still great! I suppose I can understand why some don’t like the sweet sauce, but I say, try it before you judge. To me, it’s amazing! The crust, & the toppings are also great. I’d call it «medium thin». I also love the old time, Beverly storefront atmosphere(I grew up here, so this is «retro» to me). Beer & wine also available. I’m a pizza aficionado; as such, I have no one favorite pizza. This, however, is one of my favorites!

Delicious and great customer service! The sauce is sweeter than your typical pizza, but it was a nice change. Not where I will always order out pizza, but when I am in the mood for sweet sauce Little Italy will be my #1 choice!

I am an avid member of the little Italy cult following. Personally I love their sweet sauce. As of 8÷10÷15 they have a «second sauce» for the haters, but I’ll be sticking with the delightful sweet. Their slices are huge, they serve alcohol. What more can you ask for really.

The service I continue to experience here is excellent. The food is always hot and delicious. The menu has a several options for toppings but it’s not overwhelming at all. The staff is super friendly and attentive and always smiling, only thing I would change about little Italy is the hours. They gotta stay open later!

Perhaps they ran out of their legendary«sweet sauce» Friday night, but did they also run out of garlic ?? Oregano ?? Salt & pepper ??? It tasted like it had come directly from a can of tomato soup. .. This was my first pizza from Little Italy. .. We won’t be back. ..

Totally recommended! My friend was coming over and wanted to order in a pie, to which I replied«I’m craving pizza too, but… the pizza around here is not great. If you need a fix, very mediocre pizza will have to do.» Well, he needed a fix, and so I avoided the other establishments I had ordered from before and took the plunge. I had all but lost hope in finding decent pizza in this area… and then I found Little Italy! I was a little apprehensive about ordering pizza from here because I kept seeing«sweet tomato sauce» all through their Unilocal reviews. Yes, the sauce is sweet, but not a cloying sweet, and it works! When it comes to a good pizza, it’s all about ratio, ya feel me? Little Italy’s pies aren’t drenched with sauce like a lot of other places, but provide just enough acid and sugar to balance out the cheese and oil. Crust is on the thin side, which I like, and they’re generous with toppings. Service was great, person on the phone was very nice and cheerful, and the pizza delivery guy was right on time. There’s a $ 5 delivery fee and they only deliver in Beverly, which is steep for a $ 13 large pizza, but after 1.5 years of disappointment with other restaurants, it’s a price I’m wililng to pay.

There’s Little Italy… then there’s everything else in Beverly and Salem. Stop reading and start dialing.

Foolish to think that Little Italy gets any bad reviews. Sometimes the service is friendly and sometimes they are a tad salty but the pies? Phenomenal. Not your traditional italian pie, Little Italy features the famous sweet sauce(tomato). The first time I bit into a slice I was pleasantly surprised, a bit shocked and immediately wanted more. This is a must try if you are every in Beverly. I pick up a pie and will pack it up for business travels if I am leaving the area. No joke, I have done this countless times. Worth it!

Best pizza I’ve ever had, and hands down the BEST gluten free pizza too. The food is delicious, fresh, and oh my gosh I want to cry just thinking about it gracing my taste buds with its presence. The people working are super great, and even remember me and my gluten-free needs. I’d give them a 6 star rating if I could.

You HAVE to appreciate a pizza w/a VERY sweet sauce. This used to be one of my favorite pizza places on the North Shore, however I hadn’t been in quite a while so I figured I was overdue. I just ordered a cheese pizza with garlic. The sauce was even sweeter than I ever remember, too sweet for me who LOVES a sweet sauce pizza. And I was greatly disappointed in the garlic on this pizza. It was the garlic which comes from a jar not fresh garlic. If it had been fresh garlic it would have helped to offset the sweet sauce a bit and make for a good pizza. I also prefer a more chewy crust as well and this crust was a crunchier crust. So sadly I was not particularly pleased with this pizza.

Best pizza on the North Shore. First time I went here, my life was changed. It’s not for everybody, but if you like their pizza sauce, there’s no substitute.

Dare i say diGiorno? The sauce is too sweet. The pizza is thin which I usually like but it is soft like frozen pie. Overall my impression was the pizza came off flat.

I haven’t a clue how this place survives. The super thin sauce is made with about 1000 metric tons of sugar. It’s all I could focus on. Take jar of Hunt’s tomato sauce and add a bunch of sugar. Get some frozen breadsticks and sluice that tomato juice/sugar mix onto the breadsticks –that’s Little Italy’s pizza. I had the sausage and onion, a pepper and onion, and a cheese. Also, this tasted nothing like any pizza I’ve had in any of the«Little Italy’s» in the US –North End, for example. This joint’s stuff tasted nothing like any pizza I’ve had in Italy for that matter. Save your loot and get some frozen Newman’s Own or something bootleg.

I love this little hole in the wall pizza joint. My favorite is the spinach calzone, sliced & served with their special sweet sauce. So delish that I couldn’t help but eat the whole thing myself. Very filling. I give it 2 Yums up!
