Ericalees Hair Salon

This was my second time at Ericalee and honestly it was a disappointment. Both last time and this time I made appointment for hair cuts, this second time I brought my grandma who also needed a haircut. We made appointments for two half hour slots when I called a couple days before; we came and it seemed like she had forgotten completely about the appointment, and she was pretty rude to us. She took my grandma and then made me wait for a long time while she took someone else to color their hair. If I have an appointment, you have to respect the appointment time… I don’t care if the other client is your friend or not. She seemed to play favorites with someone of the clients and was rude to us. I shouldn’t have to wait as you take someone between our appointments which were back to back just because you’re playing favorite with a client. She’s just not professional.

Had my hair colored a month ago the best salon I have been to. She got the color I wanted which no hairdresser has been able to do. Everywhere I go I get comments on my color.

I had a real bad experience with Ericka. It was this past winter. I am only writing this review now because I felt obligated to warn others.
If you want to read the whole story you can goto the BBB wed site. My complaint will be there. Yes it was that bad that I reported the whole mess to the BBB and the state too.
She made the whole situation worse with her lies and made up stories. She is not a professional and will never stand behind her work. I was very unhappy. I had a full foil (wanted blonde, she turned it white and then red with a toner).
Oh and the place is dirty and cluttered. There is not even a reception area. It is far from warm.
And from reading the other reviews it appears Ericka (the owner) has done this to other customers. Three different people say the same thing about the poor quality of her work should tell you something.

Erica is the best hairdresser/​stylist on the North Shore. She knows how you want your hair and gives the best cut & style ever… I am so thrilled!!! Highly recommend her.

I am not sure what the writers are talking about. Erica does a fantastic job on my hair, my daughter’s hair and all my friends. Plus there are 3 sylists altogether and the place is warm and friendly. I highly recommend this place.

Prices are great and the same for the hair cuts took my son there. Erica was very good with him. Now my wife goes there too. She loves its we all will be going back

I have been to this salon on more than 1 occassion and always feel like the owner who cuts my hair is in a bad mood. There is no atmosphere and no conversation going on. I am so dissapointed with my last haircut-​its all choppy looking and uneven. My hair truthfully looked much better before I cut it. Yes, the price is $ 20, but as they say you get what you pay for! I would really suggest going elsewhere and getting a reccomendation from a friend.

I took my 16 yr old daughter here for a shorter cut with layers. Erica did a good job on her hair, although the way she styled it made my daughter look about 30 (back-​combed and poufy).
So I decided to go there too. I told Erica (who is the owner and only stylist, by the way) that I would like it layered like she did my daughter’s, but with an angle down toward the chin (similar to a graduated cut, which I’ve had before). She assured me she could do it, but it ended up looking identical to my daughter’s. While it was not a bad cut, it was just not what I had asked for. It just made me feel like I looked ‘older’. And I had a big family event coming up… so this was disappointing.
Erica charges $ 15 for a cut, which is a great price. And she is friendly, not overly so, but not rude. The downfall is that being that it is just her, and the salon is small, she seems limited on being able to increase her skills. The salon is very simple in décor, with 2 stations, and feels more like a barber shop to me. This would all be fine with me if I could say I loved the service. Sadly, I believe I am still on the hunt for a salon that can provide the cut I am looking for.
